What is it with guys offering trades... (1 Viewer)

Losers...

Send an e-mail with a trade offer, say to post it in the transaction and they'll accept. Then they cancel it after I turn down other e-mail offers for the same player from other people.

####### annoying. Now I'm back to square 1 after a week of work.

Should I  , or :banned:

If you can't bring yourself to be mean enough to accept someone else's trade if your tradeisn't consumated, you need to put a sunset clause on your offers, like say 24 hours.

I will typically be working several offers at once. I make it known to all parties that I am trying to make a move and since the situation is very fluid due to back and forth bargining I am likely to close a deal at any time. Thus the announcement of a trade will stand as notification that negotiations are off. This eliminates crying or pulling out hair when someone else backs out of a deal that was considered done. I can just switch gears to the other ongoing negotiations, I only pull out my hair when I was soooo close to hosing another owner on a trade.

Disclaimer... If any of my leaguemates read this... I never try to hose you guys.

what's worse, a GM who backs out of a trade once it is accepted by the other party, or a GM who is so

consumed by his own team that he vastly overrates his own players?? Personally, I can't stand the Gm's that overvalue their own teams/players.

GMs that overvalue their rosters expect you to give a guy like Rudi Johnson , for instance, for a WR like Chris Chambers or oft-injured Donte Stallworth.

not only do these GM's overvalue their players, but when they finally DO make a trade, they get fleeced...

I don't mind GM's changing their minds after trade-talks, it happens, but I DON'T like the GM that tells you he'll give you Donte Stallworth for the Bears defense, straight up, or Leinart and Lamont Jordan for LJ ( actual offers I received this week!)
