What is Koren Robinsons status? (1 Viewer)

To me Koren Robinson is an interesting player.

The guy has talent, GB is hurting at WR, on his last chance in the NFL, and will be playing for a contract. And he just turned 27.

What is the feeling here if K-Rob gets his act together that he still holds some value as a FF player?

He got cut by the Packers, and word is the Texans are taking a look at him but may not be able to afford his salary.

When was he cut? Link? He was suspended last year and I believe he is eligible for reinstatement after week 4. Koren will help the specials teams a ton and should make a nice 3 or 4 WR if he can hold onto the ball.

Nevermind, I'm thinking of Robert Ferguson. My apologies. That being said, K-Rob is at best #3 behind Driver and Jennings and shouldn't be anything special this year.

FixedThe only thing that guy can hang onto is a whiskey bottle. He had 1 good year in Seattle followed by 3 seasons of game losing performances, including the infamous OT game in GB, which wouldn't have gone to OT if he hung onto two slants that hit him in stride wide open. One for a first down in GB territory another for a late TD. A scenario sadly familiar to Seattle fans. He has a good year retyrning kicks in MN and a season of less than average drops, then a bunch more legal trouble. I doubt in all his penal time off he learned how to catch consistently. Dude has stone hands and a 2 cent brain.

Robinson can rejoin team in mid-September

The Green Bay Packers won't have to wait long into the regular season for wide receiver Koren Robinson to join them. He is eligible to apply for reinstatement on Sept. 18.

Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal reports, "Robinson played in four games for the Packers before his suspension went into effect on Oct. 17, when his appeal was denied. Nevertheless, Sept. 18 is when he can apply for reinstatement because that is one year from the date the league determined that Robinson violated the policy."

The unfortunate part is that the Packers will have to cut a player in order to make room for Robinson once he joins the team.
