What is Roy Williams' trade value? (1 Viewer)

I have him and T.O.and I told the league that I was willing to trade Roy and/or T.O. in a PPR League. All I am getting are TURDS. Mason, Henderson, Mush (probably the best offer). What is his worth going forward?

I was in the exact same situation. I got Colston for him

I gave Cotchery for him last week. I figured he'd be on the Eagles, 'Boys or 'Skins within a year. Glad it happened this soon. IMO, he's worth more than Cotch in Dynasty, less in redraft.

An owner in a 10 team Dynasty PPR league approached me today for Roy Williams (he also has Tony Romo). He was very keen to get Williams to pair with Romo in his lineup. I very easily got Jonathan Stewart from him. I'm now wondering if I could've gotten a first round pick as well. :lmao:

I have him and in my league he has zero trade value....non dynasty...an I dont blame them. Hes the third WR option...maybe fourth if you include Barber...on a team possibly starting a 40 year old and he drops balls at an alarming rate. Unless you are in a dynasty league this trade kills any value Roy might have had.

First of all... he is the #2 WR option... on most plays. Witten is a TE, and Barber is a running back. Also, you guys are already placing those guys above him in the option line-up... and you have no idea. For all we know, Roy Williams could turn out to be the go to guy. Every play is different, and on a lot of plays the #2 receiver is the hot read, or the #1 option... so all of that talk is pretty silly... yet people do it all of the time. It all depends on how the play developes... if Roy gets open, he will get the ball. Considering how hard it is going to be for teams to cover TO, Williams, Witten, Barber, and even Crayton now as a #3 receiver... I see them ALL getting open a lot, and all of them should get plenty of targets and opportunities.

An owner offered my brother Rudi for Roy Williams a month ago. My brother was not interested but did not reject it and the other guy did not pull it off the table. My brother accepted the trade with in minutes of Williams being traded to Dallas

note- dynasty league and the other guy has Kevin Smith

I have Roy in a redraft and nobody's that interested. I think this actually helps him since he's on a better team that can throw the ball and Owens hasn't been catching a ton of passes. But I'm not expecting much interest going forward. His value was pretty low, so the potential boost might not make a huge difference even if it pans out.

Short-term.. his value didn't increase mush to me. Hes went from #2 option on a terrible team to #3/4 option on a great offense. Witten will be called on to block more while Brad is playing, but when Romo comes back... Witten will be one of his favorite targets again. Plus, if Roy keeps dropping balls like he did in Det; niether QB is going to trust him... so short-term I'm not going nutz.Long-term.. if Roy plays well; hes in a great situation. TO won't keep up his production much longer; possible 2 more yrs. Dallas needs someone else to step in in became Wr1 while TO becomes an Issac Bruce or Marvin Harrison type. Now, if Roy proves himself this yr and next yr... he could become that guy. If he keeps dropping balls, he will be replaced... Jerry has no problem cutting deadbeats.

The owner of Romo gave up Anthony Gonzolez, a 1st & 5th Round Picks in 2009 to acquire Roy Williams right about the exact time he was traded to Dallas on Tuesday.

ETA: I should probably add that this is a keeper league (keep 5, no more than 2 per pos.) and that the new owner of Roy Williams has Randy Moss and Braylon Edwards already at WR. He probably won't keep Roy at the end of the season and this is more than likely an excellent move to strengthen his chances for a lengthy playoff run. That, and he's a hookup whore, so "Romo to Roy" was too tempting for him to pass up, even if he has to wait a week or two for that chance.

Clearly his value is quite fluctuating.

Though, I will say that it seems higher than it was before the trade in nearly every scenario. The guy was on a number of redraft waiver wires.
