What is the worst dynasty trade you have been offered? (1 Viewer)

The other owner places very low values on QBs and is surprised that he can't get trades done. He posted in the league chat during the season that he offered a 2nd for Lawrence and a 4th for Wentz and couldn't believe that neither were accepted and then that he was glad that his "offer" for Lawrence wasn't accepted.

He made a bad offer to me for Trey Lance, initially a 3rd, then a 2nd max because "that's all a rookie QB is worth". I turned this around on him and offered him a 2nd (ended up being 2.03) for Zach WIlson. He accepted.

I countered with 4.01 for Garoppolo. He messaged back that he didn't understand the offer because he is trying to add QBs and that he's not going to be taking any in the rookie draft. I replied that I want to add QBs too at his valuation, like I did with Wilson, and that I was offering a better pick for a lower ranked QB. Then wished him good luck adding QBs at his price point. I'm not holding my breath that he will ever get it (it being realistic QB value in a SF) 😆

That's cool if you are, but I wouldn't be.  As someone who acquired the 2.01 in 2 leagues this past year, I landed Michael Carter and Terrace Marshall.  I wouldn't trade Sutton for either at this point.

 
New MFL league year brings this doozy in a TE Premium PPR:

I give: 1.01, Renfro, St Brown and Freiermuth

I get: CEH, 1.10 and 2023 2nd

That’s…less than a good offer. 
 

ETA Obviously imbalanced, but I ran it though a calc for giggles. 

you give: 417.65

you get: 260.30

Here’s the thing about trade calcs: if you have league-mates who use them religiously, you can take advantage in trades.

When dealing away my aging assets for my current rebuild, I got WAY better value than I expected because my trade partners used trade calcs. 

They’re not completely accurate, no. But that’s a 2-way street that sometimes works to your favor. 

ETA: I actually asked each of them which calc they used. I paid $10 for Dynasty Dominator. Was worth every penny to maximize those deals in my favor.

I love when someone sends and offer of five average players for one stud and uses the trade calculator numbers to justify how I'm getting more "points".

WOW...  that is amazing!  They could even consider that equitable?  Did you counter asking if you needed to include your 1st Born in case they missed that part?

new owner took over a team and trying to make it his "own"

he sent offer of Cooks MIN RB for Williams DEN RB and my 1.05

i explained that i don't want to get older and all the Dynasty FF sites have Williams > Cooks

next offer is 2.08 for Higgins (who I put on the Trading Block to see what I might get)

his email explanation: I just thought if you wanted to move Higgins like you said that you might be willing to control the rookie you select🤦‍♂️

I'm new to dynasty this year, which my new league mates knew going in. They're a by-and-large very open and friendly group and it's been really fun. But there's this one guy with the offers over the past 2 months..

14 team, 1QB league/ no IDP.

  • I get his 2.07+ 23 late 2nd for Javonte Williams
  • I get 1.02 for my (2) early 23 firsts
  • I get his late 23 first and his late 23 2nd for 1.01..  not in the same tier as the other two but not very close for me.
I declined all with no counter but emailed after the last one and and asked how far off we were if we did:

I get -1.02+Metcalf, he gets 1.01+ 23 first that projects to be in the 8-10 range. Figured he'd need a little more to get it done but it was closer to value than the other offers he'd send me. Declined politely.

 
Was offered Brady for Adams straight up.  Logic in the comments was "Top QB for a top WR"

I resisted the urge to point out the flaws of the comment for dynasty

Note to self:  Never consult Dynasty Dominator lol

Only way I see doing that trade is a superflex and you want to win this year.  Maybe if you have a terminal disease and know it will be your last season, then go for it. 

But, I never use trade calculators so maybe I am off in some of my dynasty opinions.  For me, the fun of FF is calculating value and trades myself.  Have a friend who runs EVERYTHING through a trade calculator and accepts or declines based on that.  Constantly complains FF isn't fun anymore.

I just did it for lol’s.

i use calcs because a few league-mates do, and I’m able to occasionally get better deals as a result.

I could see doing the deal for Brady for a win-now team in either SF or 1-QB league. He’s old but he’s valuable so long as he’s a top QB. 

At some point the wheels will fall off the bus, but I’m not sure the offer is bad enough for this topic either way.

Adams is 3rd round startup pick right now.  Brady is like 11th.

It's horrific
