What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (5 Viewers)

It's all Skylord's fault for being out of town. That and Wingnut has been absent. And I will be out of town this weekend. Gator, you are hereby nominated to make sure that this thread doesn't fall into the depths of page 3.

Hey San Diego area people, just got the Alesmith newsletter, the release date is Saturday, July 1st at 1:00pm.

No kidding. And I am out of town this weekend.
I was tired and had a headache so I went beerless last night.
Come to think of it --- I didn't have a headache, and I did have a beer last night. Two Brothers Bitter End. Funny how that haens.
Not bad beer. Very drinkable.
And you'll once again notice that I conveniently was forced to boycott the letter "p" in the original post. Damn keyboard.

NG, your such a ussy.

Alright, I will be offline soon for the weekend. Going up to Duluth for a wedding. On the beer note, at least I will get to stop at Fitger's. :banned:

Up to you now Gator. This was already deep into page 2. Don't slack.

Guess I'll try to help out too.

After going beerless last night (3.5 hrs on dsl tech support, and turned out it was THEIR server problem :hot: ), tonight should be a good night to test out my own Mortality courtesy of Skylord.

It only rates an 84. Skylord really ####ed you on that one....

Here is what's on tap for tonight. (I hope postie reads this) ;)

1-22oz Stone IPA

1-22oz Arrogant *******

10-12oz Stone Pale Ale.

:wasted:

I will be having a bomber of Rogue Chocolate Stout followed by an EKU 28 and then at least a few bottles of a beer yet to be decided (have to stop on the way home and pick something up).

OK. I see how it is now. ;) Just finished off a Brooklyn Chocolate Stout and a North Coast Old Rasputin. I think I'll hit that World Wide Stout now. I may be stingy with my stash, but a couple of bad weeks at work will make you finish them off quick.

On a sad, sad note I am on medication and am forced to go alcohol free until July 4th when I have a Racer 5, Moylander, Stone Imp. Stout, some Hopdevils, and some Hop Ottin IPA's sitting in my fridge calling to me. Maybe my order from that Belgian place will arrive by then and I can comeback in style.

Hmm. That Belgian place supposedly shipped mine a week or two ago. How long does it take to get here from Belgium now?

Takes a week to ship across the country. Gotta be a bit longer to ship across the Atlantic.

I'll drink one for you tonight.

Aren't you supposed to be sending BOTMC beers anyway?

finishing off the bomber of Rogue Chocolate Stout now. Didn't really notice the chocolate at first, but as it warmed the chocolate taste really came through.

 I haven't tried many flavored beers yet. This one is noted.

1 Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

2 Le Fin Du Monde
I need to pick up another La Fin Du Monde and retry it. I had a slight cold the first time and I think it muted my taste. I liked it, but don't believe I got the full efect.

Aside from Archer and Liquid Solutions, are there any other good "mail order" beer stores?

I never worried too much, because of Indiana's stone-age beer laws, but I do have friends in IL and OH who would be willing to "receive".

Liquid Solutions has a number of beers I can't get here or within driving distance.  I've tried or heard good things about these, any others to look for?

- Alaskan

- Ale Smith

- Deschutes

- Lagunitas

- Mad River

- Marin

- Moylan's
John's Grocery is worth checking out. I made my first online order with them Monday and received it today! Prices were cheaper than Liquid Solutions and the freight was a lot cheaper also (I live in TN and John's is in Iowa so it's a lot closer to me than Liquid Solutions).

Here's what I got --> :pics: :pics: :pics:
those St Bernardus are outstanding.beware the Eku 28. iirc it has chunks of fruit, or something, floating in it.
just poured the EKU. No chunks. Actually just a very clear red-brown copper color.

1 Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

2 Le Fin Du Monde
2 is a 91 at BA, NICE!
And worthy of it. A guy I know used to work at a place that sold beer. But beer was an afterthought. They had the 4 packs in their computer system for the same price as a single. He told the "powers that be" it was wrong, but they didn't do anything about it.

My first-ever Racer 5 is on the menu tonight. I am also now officially in possession of the last 3 Dreadnaughts that Sam's had. And they can't have them back.

I've got a Racer 5 in the closet. Think I'll save it for it 4th, though. on the World Wide Stout. It was the first and only one I have.
