Just had a Russian River Damnation. I've had it a couple of times in the past and thought it was an average Belgian, but for some reason, this one was a lot better. Maybe changes to the batch (this one was batch 011). Either way, it was a very good beer this time around.

New Glarus Fat Squirrel:

Has a nice hoppy smell mixed just enough with the sweet smell of malt. Lighter flavor than I had expected given the smell. Very good beer overall. However, I'm still somewhat buzzed from the Hercules before this. But I can tell a decently hoppy beer when I get one, and this one has enough hops to stand out in a crowd.

Some Sagres Cerveja Preta my dad just brought back from Portugal. 

Overall he brought back 4 six packs.

Nothing special except for the Sagres Preta but looking forward to giving them a shot.

Had about three of the Bohemia, two Super Bocks and a couple Sagres. The Super Bock was prob the worst. Tasted like Bud Light. The Bohemia was good. This one tasted more like a Bock.

ETA: THe only saving grace for the Super Bock was it is 5.6 ABV. For a bud light taste that is not too bad.

I don't remember if I mentioned this the other day. I hopped over to WI to grab a Belgian Red for Wingnut and there were some nice surprises. Chicone's now carries Smuttynose,and New Holland.

I am new to this craft beer thing too. I recently found the Stone Pale Ale (Not IPA) to be a very easy to drink beer. It is also more affordable then most other. And you dont have to turn in your Beer Guy card to drink it.

I choose the Pale Ale over the IPA, which is an unusual thing for me to say.
