Ok, the next time I post anything remotely ####ing close to this, please ban me from ever posting again in the beer thread. Two times IIRC that I have posted I am getting off early and two times my day gets absolutely ####ed. I swear on my Beer Snob fantasy football team that if my phone rings one more ####ing time before I am home there is going to be a cataclysmic explosion . . . . . I swear that as i typed that my phone rang. OMFG!!Along with getting off of work at noon, I plan on starting to drink at noon.

Not drink just to drink. It will more than likely be the last beer of the night. The people in here who know things say that it is best to drink the worst beer last. THe reason I bought it is because I wanted to go to the check out with all that Stone and one PBR. Didnt get the reaction i wanted but oh well. In Vegas last weekend at a bar I order two Duvels and Coors light(for my brother). The bartender says, "Ok, but who the #### wants a coors light?" 
. No such reaction at the local store.

Good news/Bad news.good news: It's in.bad news: Store owner overdid it at wine tasting and didn't come in. Hired help wouldn't put it out for sale.good news: I should be able to get some tomorrow. Maybe.bad news: they only got 2 cases and they're going to save one until winter.Good news...for me. St B 60th will be on hand Friday!!!!!
(working him to let me have the other case.good news: another store will have some next week.bad news: they too won't be getting a whole lot of it.

Gotta tell ya, not quite the strong hop nose that I expected from this one given the reputation. Taste is a sharp hop flavor with the biting finish, and not the more rounded taste of some others like Dreadnaught and GI Imperial (although those are DIPAs). Still easy to see how it got its strong rep. :cheers:

Drinking Piraat Ale from Evilgrin. Very much like Duvel which is a good thing. Good Belgian pale ale which hides its >10% alcohol pretty well.
Got a Hopdevil from George waiting on me next. Will be my first too, Jersey. This is one beer I'd wanted to try and looked for when in NYC in June with no luck. So, this is one non-local beer that I was glad to see NG include.

Hopdevil was on the spot. The local was meh (nice initial blast of hops but no aftertaste). Again, trading 1 for 1 with a known beer like Hopdevil is tough.
