Went with a local brew and picked up a growler of Ithaca "Flower Power" IPA. Not bad for a cheaper IPA.

Not bad?This is one of the best IPAs in the country......or at least it used to be.

The beer board has it ranked in the 80s. Don't get me wrong, I like it. It's no Lagunitas, but it's a very good beer.

ETA: I'm a relative noob to micro brews, so forgive me if I'm not glowing enough. I just haven't tried enough IPAs to make a good comparison.

I have no idea what the beer board is, but Beer Advocate has it at 95. I've never had it, but it's on my very short list of beers to try. I have has Lagunitas IPA and I'm not that impressed really. That is just a pretty good beer. It is all subjective, so drink what you enjoy! I'm jealous of that Flower Power though.

The Beer Advocate "voters" can smooch my wrinkled sack basket. Their rankings are tighter than a nun's bra. You need a cherry-picker to get them down from their high horse. Bunch of poofy queerbaits if you ask me.
