Tonight?2nd growler of reds rye
Not bad? This is one of the best IPAs in the country......or at least it used to be.Went with a local brew and picked up a growler of Ithaca "Flower Power" IPA. Not bad for a cheaper IPA.
Done!Tonight?2nd growler of reds rye
The beer board has it ranked in the 80s. Don't get me wrong, I like it. It's no Lagunitas, but it's a very good beer. Not bad? This is one of the best IPAs in the country......or at least it used to be.Went with a local brew and picked up a growler of Ithaca "Flower Power" IPA. I have no idea what the beer board is, but Beer Advocate has it at 95. I've never had it, but it's on my very short list of beers to try. I have has Lagunitas IPA and I'm not that impressed really. That is just a pretty good beer. It is all subjective, so drink what you enjoy! I'm jealous of that Flower Power though. The beer board has it ranked in the 80s. Don't get me wrong, I like it. I agree with them on some beers, not on others. I just wasn't sure what beer board the guy was talking about and providing a comparison.I'm just going to put this out there; The Beer Advocate "voters" can smooch my wrinkled sack basket. Their rankings are tighter than a nun's bra. You need a cherry-picker to get them down from their high horse. Bunch of poofy queerbaits if you ask me.I have no idea what the beer board is, but Beer Advocate has it at 95. I've never had it, but it's on my very short list of beers to try. Big ErnOh my post wasn't directed at anyone or anything in general. It just seems like everytime I decide to search for a beer a like the first link is to there. And typically there is some effete snoot who thinks he needs to denigrate some beer because he catches a whiff of daffodils when he expected African Violets and ficus tree root.I agree with them on some beers, not on others. Meanwhile, I've heard nothing but rave reviews for his new place, Peekskill (sp?).Flower Power used to be one of the best IPAs on the planet. Seems to have lost a step since Chief left. Shame.
Kinda surprised Tanner isn't already a member there. That's the BA way, man. You should check out this placeOh my post wasn't directed at anyone or anything in general. It's not bad for a chilly night in the Windy City watching the Sox.Great beer on a hot humid summer day.

big fan! thoroughly enjoyed the complexity in flavor and the kick the bourbon barrel brew gives it. i love me some bourbon barrel stout!Peruvian Morning while I racked my Furious clone to secondary to dry hop it (1 oz amarillo, 1 oz simcoe, 1 oz ahnatum for those who give a ####).
Gonna have a Devil Made Me Do It.

I didn't know that brewery was available outside of Michigan. It is small, even for Michigan breweries.Steve Tasker said:Kuhnhenn 4th D from 2010.
