What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

100 beers? What else you got? Alphabetical then chronological please.
crap I'd be better off taking some pictures...I've got 3 cases of Sly Fox cans...

Most of a case of the Sunshine Pils...

Most of a case of the Nugget Nectar...

about half a case of Southren Tier Hopsun...

about 10 each of Lancaster Hop Hog and Legacy Hedonism

almost an entire case of Moosehead (which was gifted to me my my grandfather)...

about 12 Ommegang 750's (mostly 3 phils)

9 or 10 Sumttynose Big A IPA bombers...

a "cellared" mix case of 12oz - prob only half full right now

a "cellared" case of 750's/22oz - less than half full right now

a couple stragglers of homebrew...

and that's all down stairs... I've got about 30 beers in the fridge about half and half of stuff listed above, and various singles that I have been "chillin" for awhile...

I don't even want to do the math on all that... but it's 100 eazy

:bag: :bag: :bag: :bag: :bag:
I wish that's all I had. I have 86 Different beers. :bag:
That Nugget Nectar would fetch a nice bounty in trades

:lmao: Drink up son.

I opened up my box from Vintage Cellars and this is the best packing job yet.

- Solid outside cardboard box

- Inside was a box not shrink wrapped but the other tight type of plastic rolls that you wrap around...I'm blanking on the name. Anyways, the box was surrounded by oodels of packing peanuts.

- Inside the second box each bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap then wrapped again in the shrink wrap stuff, then seperated by cardboard strips.

My package included....

12oz DFH Burton Baton

12oz Wayerbacher Blithering Idiot Barleywine

12oz Wayerbacher Hops Infusion ale

12oz Wayerbacher Imperial Stout

12oz Wayerbacher Quad

12oz Wayerbacher Old Heathen Imperial Stout

Good times
Let me know what you think of the Burton Baton. I have my opinion, but curious to hear yours.
Dude, wait till you see the order I placed at Liquid Solutions. I have some serious #### coming. I know Tip Top does too. I ordered one of these.....
I ordered one of those too.
Its your fault I ordered so much from that place, richard. You even PM'd me back with that specific beer.I won't mention how much it cost

Yep, and only one review on BA. Commercial Description:

IPA Brut pours like a deep golden champagne witha rich head. An aroma redolent of summer fruit with a toasty malt bubbles forth. A slightly sweet malty front palate proceeds to finely balanced floral and apricot notes, with caramel and oak undertones. This beautiful IPA finishes dry and bitter, with a hint of sweetness at the end. After its appearance at the OBF, this beer was then aged a further 3 months in chardonnay barrels and disgorged prior to a limited bottling, available only at the brewery.

Thats sexy

Tip Top - what's your thoughts on the Sleighor?
Fits my tastes just right. Not really balanced, just hammers you with hops, but in no way are the hops too much imo. Got better as it got a little warmer and the flavor really came out. I love me a Hop Bomb!

Just opened up a Celebrator. Been too long since I have had one.
Not a lot of hops in the Celebrator, Tip Top. FYI.
It's out of my normal drink, but I am definitely a fan of Doppelbocks.Edit to add - I am 70% German after all...

I got to finally sample that jewel of a beer in a odd way. 3c's and I Pm'd a bit talking trade and nothing came of it. A few weeks later, an unexpected box showed up from Wingnut containing a couple of Nugget Nectars and a Stout. I Pm'd wingnut for a thanks, and it turns out that 3c's had decided to hook us both up. Wingnut was the middle man for my shipment. That is really cool. Thanks again, man.

Celebrator pisses me off. Well, not the beer, but the distribution. I can get it *sometimes*, but it isn't very consistant around here.

That sucks. Its pretty much everywhere around here, and one of very few dopplebocks that can consistantly be found.

I can always get it, but got it on a whim when I stopped in at my keg store to arrange for my next keg. I am really looking forward to my next keg, btw. Anyone know if it would be easy to bottle from a keg with swingtops? Would it hole the carbonation? I would think this is how they did the Pliny I got. I know some would be interested if I could bottle it....

Dude, your distribution sounds effed up. You always get things last or don't get them at all....especially from a norcal perspective.

I agree, for the most part. I can get nearly any NorCal beer at any time. Other than that, yeah, it's a coin flip. Stone is the only non local brewery that is consistantly stocked around here.

Deschutes Mirror Pond followed by Hair of the Dog Adam tonight.
:goodposting: Yet another brewery that I cannot get consistantly is Hair of the Dog.To put this back on track, I'm drinking a Stone IPA.

Deschutes Mirror Pond followed by Hair of the Dog Adam tonight.
What was the batch number on the Adam?Adam is by far...bar none...the most under rated beer on the planet. Adam is in my top five...probably four or five.

Batch 65. Excellent beer and stronger than it tastes; the 10% abv snuck up on me. I picked up 4 a couple weeks ago - 2 for drinking and a couple to put up for a few months to see how it ages. HOTD is an easier to find one for me that others don't have as much access to - other 2 I like in general that are "local" are Deschutes and Rogue. There are others around though - not sure there are as many good ones as CA but adequate.

nah, not a beer trader... I am lazy and PA laws are prohibitive at times.
Laws? :lmao:
well... PA case laws are a pain. I don't want to be picking up an entire case of some local beer just so I can trade a couple to some dude in utah, and be stuck with the rest.
just read about this over on the BA todayexplain..... can you ONLY buy cases of beer? no 6-packs? no 12-packs? bombers???

what the ####?
Essentially... and only from beer distributors. There are some exceptions - but they are not all that common... oh, and they are expensive. But on the plus side... beer distributors are allowed to be open on Sundays now!!!

Baby steps...
what the ####?

This can be tricky, as CO2 starts coming out of solution as soon as the beer exits the tap. Brewpubs usually have a hose to fill growlers, to fill from the bottom, but even a growler will usually only stay good for a day or so when filled from the tap.For best results, you'd want to use a counter-pressure bottle filler, like this. It fills the bottle while keeping the beer under keg pressure, so the CO2 doesn't break out of solution. The above link is for a home-built one, but you can also buy them pre-made here or here

If you want to try filling right from the faucet, I suggest you get the beer and bottles very cold. Cold beer holds more dissolved CO2 (PV=nRT), and that may reduce the amount you lose to foaming in the bottle. Fill slowly and as gently as you can.

Yeah, PA has some funky laws. I remember the first time I go up there for a week and trying to find beer. No beer in grocery stores or 7-11s. Someone led me to the place. I go in and everything is in cases. So I rip out a 6 pack and walk up to the counter. "You can't do that." None of that here. Unfortunately, the only decent beer store near me is next to a Ukrops (grocery store). Ukrops is a local chain that is run by a religous family. (funny thing is it seems like every Ukrops has a beer or liquor store next to it) They close on Sundays. Since the grocery store is closed and traffic is way down, the beer store closes too.

Thanks. Maybe I will be able to spread the word of MN's newest brewery, Surly.

Going to a beer tasting at a brewery in Ann Arbor tonight. The theme is pilsners, which isn't my favorite style, but it should be interesting. :banned:

PA does have 6 pack shops, but they can only be sold at places that serve food :loco: . They also run about 50% more in cost than when you buy it by the case, so its not really cost effective. I too recall being shuked when I first tried to buy beer in that state. Of course, it just meant that I had to pick up a case of Arrogant ******* insted of just a few bottles. :D

 Busting out the ideal gas law. You really know your stuff.

Buying a case doesn't sound so bad, other than the fact that I would have about a million bottles around the house and no money.

I think Alabama has the most opressive and strange beer laws. They have a 6% cap, AND they limit the bottle size to a pint. So no bombers, and no big beers. Here in NC we finally got over that arcane 6% cap last August. Our only strange beer law is no beer is to be sold before noon on Sunday. The start selling right after church gets out.

In MN, liquor stores can't be open at all on Sunday. Luckily, I always have plenty on hand.

North Carolina has seperate liqour stores that are state run and only sell liqour, and yes, they are closed on Sundays. Beer here is sold in grocery stores and beer & wine shops. So you can't get any beer on Sunday?

Going to a beer tasting at a brewery in Ann Arbor tonight. The theme is pilsners, which isn't my favorite style, but it should be interesting. :banned:
wow, I didn't realize that they made lager that far west... :P ;)

The only way to get anything is at a bar.

California's strange alcohol law is that you can't buy anything from 2am to 6am. That's it. :P

Compared to Nevada, yes. If you've never been a bar to watching the sunrise through the window, you haven't really lived.
