What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Sneaky bastage Tip Top. I certainly wasn't expecting a surpise package. Received a 2004 Old Stock Ale and a 2004 Celebration ale :excited:

In the spirit of things, I think I'll be sending out a surprise package as well. Tip Top, sounds like you have the best selections of addresses right now. I'll pm you an email address so you can send em to me.

Christmas in July resumes.
I'm considering this. Got alot of beer to send that I just don't have room for given my new homebrew operation coming online this weekend.Victory HopDevil

DFH Indian Brown and 60/90

North Coast Old Stock

North Coast Rasputin

I've just got the BOTM list. If someone could email me other lists I'd appreicate it.

Yeah, my store carries lots of their crap. Never even look at it anymore.

Hey, WTF did we bet in the WC league? A four pack of what?
Just get me four that I couldn't get. You saw the BIF list. Pretty much if it isn't a brewery from that list or from my main list I'm game.

FFFs P&J #2 right now.

Was thinking about this since the first one. But this beer smells a hell of a lot like GI Imperial. Taste isn't quite the same, but it's a different beer. Lots of hops smell in this one, and that's something that really catches me in a beer. Wow.

Nugget Nectar is outstanding (thanks 3C's). Funny that it is classified as an amber. It ain't an amber.

Instead of drinking that crappy Sand Dune IPA, I just ventured to the liquor store and bought a bomber of Ruination. I needed to be reminded what a real IPA tastes like.

In fairness, that is a DIPA, but I get what you are saying.

Agreed. Also, to really be fair (or unfair depending on how you look at it), every IPA I have ever sampled would taste good next to Sand Dune. This stuff is crap.

You obviously haven't had Harbor City Full Tilt IPA

I'll throw in an extra bottle of this #### and you be the judge. I bet my steaming pile of dog#### is worse than your steaming pile of dog####.

It's really not worth the shipping. I have read the reviews on both and most agree that they are both vile.

Going for the Siletz spruce ale. All the other beers I've sampled of Siletz have sucked...but I think its because I got bad bottles. If these beer is uncomfortably sour as well, I may not drink my Wooly Bully.

Sometimes beer via mail sucks.

0/3. I've got another Siletz but I don't have high hopes. I'm gonna post on BA to see if I've been getting bad bottles....at this point I'm really curious.Down the drain it goes. Fortunately, my fridge is stocked with GOOD beer so I'll move on and forget about this horendous experience. I think I'll go with the Dragonstooth Stout from the Elysian brewco. :fingerscrossed:

Currently drinking a Stone RIS. After this, got some Dogfish 90min and Stoudts OIS in the queue.
Not a bad lineup. surprised you don't post in this thread more often.
Only a few weeks ago discovered the store by me that sells good beers. Been using this thread as a guide. I'm sure I'll post more often in this thread when I become more acclimated with these types of beers.
 same thing happened to me a few months back. I'm still quite the n00b though.Had a Rogue Shakespeare Stout and now finishing off a Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout.
had Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout tonight. beat the belfast bay oatmeal stout i had a month or so ago.luckily for me, rain kicked into high gear, and the 80s temps that have been making me sweat regularly dropped to the mid 60s. needless to say, it was one of the more suitable nights of the summer for a stout.

nase, how much are you writing?
:boxing: i've actually been chattin with my friend who got back from spain and talking to him about beer no less and going over what we've had on 'top lists' and whatnot. multi-taskin'.

when someone's name is in italics, are they typing or idle?

Less than 100 posts until this is the 4th longest thread in the FFA. Then it will be difficult to move up again. Nuke, back to work.
We're up by 23 now. I hope they start a new thread for Lost Season 3. Having a HopDevil right now, and am tempted to crack open the Vertical Epic 06.
VE06 could use a little time to mellow out, but it is still a damn good beer without any aging. I havent' reviewed it yet, but going off of memory, I probably would have given it a 4.3 or so.
I had this and I am really upset. I don't have any more. Really good American version of a Belgian Strong Dark, with wonderful complex malts and candied sugar. Yeah, I think it will taste a bit better with some age, but I really like the bold flavors. Stone never fails to impress. I let my wife have a little bit, and she actually liked it, and Belgians aren't here thing. As a matter of fact, she liked it so much she wanted seconds :hot: . So I only had half the bottle, so I really am kicking myself for only picking up one bottle.

yet another furley post deleted at the BA

this one a re-post of information i read at the Burgundian Babble Belt. i didn't add any opinions.. just re-posted what i aread at the BBB regarding the health of St Bernardus' Brewery

http://www.babblebelt.com/bbb_classic/read...l?id=1152784846

whacked for "breach of etiquette"

i'm inching closer to being put on probation methinks. which would be fine if i was going crazy and making lewd remarks every other post.. but so far i've had threads, purely about beer, locked or deleted at least a half-dozen times.
