What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

Just bought my first Wheat wine... A New Hollands Pilgram's Dole. We'll see how she tastes. Also picked up a few other goodies...Michigan Brewing IPA (6er)Arcadia Hopmouth DIPA (22 oz) Very Under-rated IMOCelebration Ale (6er) On Tap at home
I know I read that... had it last year, so look forward to this year. Your taste seems to be comparable to mine, so if it is worthy of a keg at the homestead, then it is definately worth at least one 6er, though something tells me I wont stop at one.

I still have some 2002-2005 Celebration cellared for a vertical tasting too. It is interesting how some of the tastes change over time on it. The last bottle that I had that was vintage tasted almost like a barleywine.

Heading out for Turkey Day. Got some Dogfish Jiahu, Celebration, Celebrator, Sweetwater Festive and Edenton Big Boss IPA to drink over the next couple of days.

This Hopslam is really really really really not bad. The IBUs on this thing are what.....200...300...400? Jeebus that's one bitter finish with that beer. Seriously good though. I drank it in I think 3 big gulps. And with my Furley-esque 2 beer quota per evening, methinks that might have been a tad bit of a bad idea.

He'Brew 10 (meh) and a couple of Fat Squirrels (yeh).
The Fat Squirrel is a good one. TT was kind enough to grace me with the presence of one of those a while back. It was good.
Hey, if you ever need any NG (New Glarus - hehe) I can get any kind and at a discount...just sayin!
Randy, you get that gift pack that New Glarus put out. Rasp. Tart and WI Belgian Red with a couple of nice flutes. I just picked one up this morning.

I've been searching for a Wisconsin Red, but Furley is too big of an ####### to send me one. :hot:
Never told me you were looking for one. I just was at a store that had a ton of them.

I talked to Furley about it once. Just never got back around to thinking about it.

Tonight I am sampling Babyarm Brewing's Pale Ale (thanks Culdeus) from a Saint Arnold pint glass (a beer kharma thing, I think).

Poured a slightly hazy light amber with more head than I've had since my single days. Aroma is heavy with malt. Nice mouthfeel and slight hoppiness on the front of the tongue. Finish is all malt. Not sure what the ABV% is but there is plenty in here. This is an excellent homebrew, especially for one of Babyarm's first batches.

Just found another review BA lost. Bastards.
i'm nearly positive those ####s took away my karma for making a thread about karma and i'm pretty sure i'm stuck at 75 for BA eternity now.oh, and how does one cancel a BA magazine subscription? i'd like to shove that karma right back in their face.

You can get started homebrewing for fairly cheaply and its a friggin blast. Oh, and you get beer as the result :)

Finished setting stuff up for tomorrow. I'll be hosting, but since it's a small gathering and no one else drinks quality beer (their loss), I don't have to share. Will probably start early with the following lineup to kick off the holiday season:

Hale's Ales Wee Heavy Winter Ale

Boulder Brewing Never Summer

Boonville Winter Solstice

Full Sail Wassail

Deschutes Jubelale

****'s Double Diamond Winter Warmer

Great Divide Hibernation Ale

and for the finale, a vertical of the summer 05 and 06 YuleSmiths, 05 courtesy of Skylord :banned:

Happy TDay everyone!

I'm pretty sure I've never had a year old Yulesmith. I'll be interested to see how its aged compared to an '06. 3C's will be too if he hasn't drank his already.

It didn't age so well. Popped the cap, nothing. No pfftt. Nothing. Poured it. Flat as could be. Maybe it was a bad cap. Still drank it, but you could tell it was well past it's prime. :( Hopefully Nase has better luck.

oops, perhaps im receiving an aged Yulesmith by mail,Looks like the cat's out of the :bag: enjoy tgiving, folks.

Old Dominion Winter Brew 2006. Bottled 11/15. Caught me off guard since last years was an AIPA and I was expecting the same. It's a Bière de Garde and quite good.

Just tossed in a 8 bottle gift pack of the Corsendonk Christmas Ale to bring over to my Dad's. The challenge will be to get them to try it. I am sure to have a few of them, that is for sure.
