got hit hard, by many brews... not the point for now, heading to jfk (New York) tomorrow, what are the must have's?
Anything you can get from Southampton. Bakes will have to fill in the rest.

Bell's Hell Hath No Fury. I've got five minutes till noon...
Shouldn't matter how close to Noon it is. I was out of work for four months a few years ago. Did a lot of work on the house at the time --- paint walls, hang drywall, mud and tape new ceilings, etc. Anyway, I never had a beer before 10am. Not once. Now.....10:01......I can't say that. :bag:

There are exceptions to the rule. First day football, holidays, smoking ribs, etc. Today isn't one of those days.

Oh, well for four months back then, my exceptions were Monday through Friday.

You can't honestly "drink all day" if you don't start in the morning. :banned:

Southampton. Sixpoint. Captain Lawrence if you can find it, smae with Heavyweight. Blue Point Hoptical illusion if you like hops. Don't know if you'll find Middle Ages bombers or Southern Tier there, but...This just in: Between Carolina Barleywine and Dominion Oak Barrel Aged Millenium and Winter Brew, I've been buzzing since 11 AM. It helps achieving a buzz when you aren't yet sober from the previous evening. :banned:

Thanks, just got in, so maybe tomorrow I will venture out to find a good beer store.

Wasn't going to have anything tonight because I didn't feel up to it. But.......I figured I need to clear out some of the fluff in the fridge. So it will be a Two Brothers Ebel's Weiss tonight.

Where'd you get the Millenium? You down in NoVa? And how is it? As good as they claimed? I called the beer store and they haven't seen it yet. How'd you like this years Winter? I really like it. It's an easy drinker.

Hey! Page 3! That is no way to treat the FFA Total Replies Champion. There oughta be a law......I had the Hop Wallop last night, as I mentioned earlier. I had something else too, but forget what. I must be slowing down, because now I start blacking out on the second beer. This must be how Furley feels.
Hop Wallop is one of the most interesting looking IIPA I have tried. IIRC, it pours just slightly darker than Budweiser. Very light.
This years release of the Hop Wallop made its way down here this weekend. Bought a sixer and ended up going back for another. I'm pretty sure it is the same recipe but it tastes better this year than last for some reason. Nice crisp finish, good piney/citrusy hop flavor and drinks lighter than most DIPA's. I'm amazed it is 8.5%.

:bye: Everybody!

Back from the land of Paternity Leave. Had some good beer whilst I was away. Including a Westy 12. It was the T!ts.

Any new holiday beers that must be sampled?

The Marin Hoppy Hollidaze is awesome.

I love most of those beers, but I'm not sure fuller will.
You're absolutely right. I tried to provide descriptions so he can choose some that might fall more into his personal taste. The Duvel, La Fin de Monde, and Pranqster should all be up his alley. He should experiment with some different hefe weizens and dunkel weizens. Belgian Wit beers would also be good.
thanks guys. This helps alot. I have liked every hefe, dunkel, and witbier I've tried so far. I guess that makes me a more malt, less hop beer type of guy.
Nice to see a fellow malthead on board. Personally, I prefer Belgians, doppels, hefes, porters, and stouts. I do love a good IPA, but I'm not really big on hop bombs. Just a bit overwhelming for me. Oh, and go find St. Bernardus somewhere. If you can't, I'll send you some.
Same boat with Fuller, etc. when it comes to brew types. I'm always up for trying new brews, but I've found I really dislike 'smoke' and pilsner type beers. I haven't had a bad hefe yet. I'm going to give Paulaner a try, as I've heard their hefe is excellent as well.Oh, and the St. Bernardus ABT I had was outstanding.

Now that's some funny #### right there. Went beerless yesterday. Might do it again today. :(

I really hope the growler held up alright. Usually Town Hall growlers do well for up to a month, but this one has definitely been tested.

 Holy crap! Not done opening yet, but I think I am going to end up owing Skylord beer here.
OK, I won't be able to get pictures up of this until tonight. Gotta go to a family dinner in not too long. This is the most amazing selection of beer that I have ever received via trade.
