 Holy crap! Not done opening yet, but I think I am going to end up owing Skylord beer here.
OK, I won't be able to get pictures up of this until tonight. Gotta go to a family dinner in not too long. This is the most amazing selection of beer that I have ever received via trade.

 I sure hope Skylord chooses me for BIF III. I am uber-jealous.

Short list of guys you want to send to you in BIF3 (in no particular order):Tip TopSkylordFullback Froculdeus (homebrews don't suck)bakes has already sent, and he would have been on that list too. The rest of us just suck. I can confirm Fro's place on that list. He sent to me in BIF1. And it didn't suck.

Please also note that I personally am not on that list. Please don't drink out of spite. It's very unbecoming. "Oh yeah! I'll show you! Take THAT you bad Hop Juice!"

Was able to visit a BevMo down in East Bay over the last weekend and was able to get some things I couldn't find in Redding, but unfortunately they don't carry Russian River beers anymore which was my reason for heading to that store in the first place. Might have to just break down and order some one of these days. I do have a friend I see every now and then from Santa Rosa so I might have to see if I can bribe him into picking some up for me on one of his trips up here (stupid I hadn't thought of him before).

I was able to finally get hold of some Double *******, a couple of beers from Reaper (they were out of the Sleighor DIPA), a couple from Farmhouse, an oak barrel aged beer from Allagash, a couple of seasonals, something from Drakes, and a couple of others that I can't recall.

Nice work

Coronado Islander IPA.

Sorry no pictures tonight guys, I got one taken when the camera battery went dead. Charging now and bottles are lined up, so I will get some pictures up in the morning.

For whatever reason, I've found that my local Bevmos carry the whole Reaper Ale line, except Sleighor. I have never seen that beer at any Bevmo around here. I wouldn't sweat it though. As far as Double IPAs go, I thought it was below average.Re: Russian River - your buddy won't be able to pick any bottled beer up at the brewery that you can't order online. The only thing he will be able to do is pick up a growler for you, which is still a good option for the Plinys (which are not bottle at all).

Page 4? You all ####### suck!

I purchased a 4 pack of Old Rasputin the other day... drank 3 of them, to day look at the last one, it is a Pranqster. I thought that was funny, some pulled a prank and slid the damn thing in my 4 pack. Should I be pissed? I have yet to try it.

I like Pranqster a lot. It isn't as good as Old Rasputin, but it's also nowhere near it style-wise either. It's a Belgian styled ale.

the Pranqster is delicious

I know this... and tend to enjoy Belgium strong ales more, so I am kinda excited, as I had never had it, and it gets pretty good reviews. Might have paid too much for it (since it was in my 4 pack), but oh well.

They had an empty row on the shelf labeled for Sleighor but they just didn't have any of them. I ended up with a Red and a pale I believe.I could definitely order RR but I'd certainly save on shipping if I got some picked up for me. That is typically very high on something like this.

The shipping isn't terrible. They use FedEx. From Santa Rosa to Sacramento (a little closer than Redding, but in the grand scheme of things, not much), the shipping for four 750 ml bottles was $8 or so. So essentially you're paying the price of five bottles to get four, which isn't a bad deal if you're willing to spend $8-10 bucks on one bottle of beer anyway. It's all relative.

So, is this a hint?

They don't ship growlers.

Just got some great news. Bell's will be brewing HopSlam again to be released this coming January. This was going to be a one time release, but I guess there were enough retailers who begged for more.

:pickle:BTW I still have many cases available, but this makes me even more happy!

Good news for me. The local bevmo has Double ******* and Oak Aged ******* in stock :pickle:
I think I'm the one guy in the world that doesn't like the Oaked AB
I will let you know this weekend. :banned:
I wonder if the sixer I got was bad. I honestly think I found a piece of oak in the bottle. The bottles I have tasted are so over the top oak that I'm really starting to question if somehow mine were from the bottom of the oak chipped barrel or something.I don't recall not liking it last year.
