What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (4 Viewers)

Having the Ballast Point Dorado DIPA right now. This is one damn fine beer.
Yes sir. It was an award for a reason.
I really really love this beer. Having only one bottle makes me sad. If I didn't have so much beer right now, I would be ordering a case via BevMo. It is up there with Goose Island IIPA and just short of Dreadnaught IMO.
It was an award? Christ I need to proof read. It won an award

Tomorrow, into the mail a package goes (or thats when I'm saying it goes). This one is a bit different than most of the packages that get talked about in this thread. Yes, this package is about beer...but it won't actually contain any beer.

Into the mail go two dvd's. Both are narrated by Michael Jackson, the Beer Hunter. One is something I received from his beer of the month club, where he talks about 8 different beers and gets trashed in the process. Enjoyable.

The other is one of the finest documentaries ever made. The Beer Hunter. Not available on dvd, I had to do a conversation from vhs that came out so so (the original vhs dub sucked so what are you gonna do). Regardless, its a timeless classic and enjoyable for any beer lover (or hunter).

Only rules are, once you are done watching, the dvd's move along. They go to the next person you choose who frequents this thread. So on, so forth.

And of course, the recipient should remain a surprise until they receive the dvds.

;) If they ever make it my way I'll do my best to get them watched in a reasonably short time.

I still have 2 blockbuster dvd's I haven't watched/returned yet from April.

I'd like to recommend a brew I had last night, New Glarus Copper Kettle Weiss. It was darker than most of the Weisses I've had, but it actually gave it a little more punch. If you're into Weiss beers, I suggest you give this one a try.

Scaldis Noel. Subtle spiciness, dry, with the alcohol hidden well (I can't believe it is 12 percent). The label looks like holiday wrapping paper. I think I heard sleigh bells when I opened it.

You off today or drinking at work?
I was off today. Getting ready to go to Florida tomorrow for my dad's birthday.

Nice. Have a safe trip.

Clipper City Below Decks Barleywine. Tastes more like a strong ale than a typical American barleywine. Kind of thin and lacking any complexity with a bit of a bitter finish. Drinkable, but not something I will seek out again.

Had a Farmhouse Saison 7 last night that I enjoyed. Don't know that I've had that style previously so I'm not sure what to compare it to. Didn't blow my socks off like some of the Belgian trappists have but this is a much different style from what I understand.

might want to cellar it if you have any left

New River Pale Ale from a bigass Dominion growler. Really good session-type pale ale - nothing amazing, just very, very solid.

Fosters oilcans - Borat - nice!!

Mud out

I don't think there is enough going on in this beer to get any benefit from cellaring.

Holy carpe. 12 lot ordered for me just now. Thanks for the early Christmas goose on that one. Sounds like another winner from Vinny and Natalie.
I only ordered 7 bottles, but one is sort of large....
Slacker. Shoulda ordered 7 of the big bottles.
Who are you kidding, a big bottle would last you more than a week.
I'll take the Over on a week. :suds: And while we're being honest, I'll venture a guess that the bottle might be taller than me too. :bag:
