These AB "craft" beers are really starting to piss me off. The description sounds great, the pour looks good, the nose is nice, but there's no flavor. It's like they have a great idea, and alllllllllmost get to making a really good beer, but then they remember they're Anheuser Busch and #### it up.

sorry bakes...Just popped a Hap Wallop. Not sure what happened to this brew (label said sell by Oct '07). It smells funny and tastes off. Not sure if this is the way it is supposed to smell/taste, but with that rating at BA, I gotta believe it was a bad brew.
ETA after letting it warm a bit the smell is getting a bit better.

Not a bad rating I guess... As you stated, and as I have kinda seen, you are not 100% down with the DIPA, as they aren't as complex for you. So it rated a 4.35 for DIPAs or 4.35 for your likings?

4.35 for all beers. I actually really like DIPA's, the Dreadnaught being perhaps my favorite beer in the world. The thing about DIPA's is they really need to have something special going for them to stand out from the pack. Although Hopslam was very tasty, it wasn't staggering to me.4.4 and above means I'll always remember in detail the moment I drank the beer. Almost. Watched the first one Tuesday night. It confused the hell outta my dvd player. It has seven "titles" with one chapter in each. It seemed to want to start at the 6th. But the 7th was actually the beginning.
I had to dig out the remote to get it to play in order.Popped in the second one and fell asleep.
