What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (5 Viewers)

Last night during poker I had a 2005 N'Ice Chouffe and a Brother David's Triple :shrug:Today a trip to Town Hall is in order. Some cask Masala Mama and 2003 Scaldis Noel on tap.
I could've stayed at Town Hall all day with no complaints, except from the wife. The Abbey Ale (bakes and Duckboy can attest to this one) is back on tap as a fill in seasonal along with the wannabe Houblon "Number 9". They had both the Scotch and Masala Mama on cask and the 2003 Scaldis Noel was superb. That place is dangerous right now, especially with the Festivus 2006 release tomorrow.

Oral surgery today. I'm going to try to avoid the vicodin, so a few beers might be in order.
trade beer for vicodin?
Wife: oooooo, vicodin. :hey: Me: I'll give you one for each time you "service" me. :D Wife: I'm kidding! You know I'm not a druggie.Me: :(

Only one acceptable answer to this 'avoiding the vic' thing your doing. I'll await your answer.
I'm sure neither will be the right answer:1) I'm oncall tonight.2) I have a hig pain threshold/I like pretending I'm tough. I'll get through it w/o taking anything.Actually, no real pain to speak of yet.

Your Masala Mama was picked up today. I won't mix boxes this time and you will get your Mama before New Year's at least. Sorry for the mix up.

First, the respone you gave 'hack was better than my reason. Too bad your wife cut you off at the pass. 1) No, not near a good enough reason. You have posted in here before about napping under your desk. You can handle a little relaxation. 2) Close. I too like to not take vics when given to me for pain. I like to deal with the pain and save the vic for when I really need it.

Told you you didn't need to worry. Having Fro's whore was good. But, thanks for doing that. Looking forward to it.

Hop Whore was some good stuff. I wish I had stocked up with more. I will do my best to not make the same mistake with the Tyranena Spank Me Baby Barleywine (a bargain at 5.99/4 pack).

i was livid earlier today. called up a pretty big wine/liquor store that has an impressive selection and inquired about oaked ******* availability after the local distributor said they had sent some out to them a ways back. guy says they have em in 6-packs. i went out of my way when i had to leave later in the afternoon to go home and get there and they have none.

cant have em all i guess.

writing a review on their store in which i deem the service to be a 1 or 1.5.

When did you move to Fresno?

Yeah, I bet that Scaldis Noel was great. Did you notice this in my review from a week or so ago?"D: This beer would be stunning with some age to it. Three years and hold on! Regardless this is a nice quad and worthy of your attention."

Very impressed with this Weizenbock style. Looking at the offerrings, there isnt much out there. Anyone else into the style?

This beer is so drinkable at 3 years that I am trying to figure out when i can get back before it is gone.

Hop Juice
Is this a new batch? Very good DIPA imo.
Yeah this is probably the latest batch, sa I've seen it around lately. I will admit that I did not include any in your latest box(es). But there's plenty of opportunity for you to get some when you come in. You can't get this up there, huh? Maybe you've told me that you can't get TB up there, don't remember.
Two Brothers is real hit and miss around here. Doesn't make it into MN, but there is always some when I hop the border to WI.

Yes, absolutely. Alesmith Weizenbock being my favorte. Course, its been retired so I rarely get it.
Looks like a nice one. Only 15 reviews at BA. You get it much?
Only when Sam at the Stuffed Sandwich brings some out from the cellar. I was lucky enough to get one last time I was there. Due to its age, its probably getting close to peaking, if it hasn't already.

Had to fire someone this afternoon, so I'd say I'm drinking heavy.

GI Imperial IPA

GI Demolition

GI Matilda

GI IPA

2 x Boulevard Pale Ales, to date.

Relax, teh geytorz ... your stash lives on.

Toughest day in a looooong time.

Last night's Side by Side: Battle of the Russian Imperial Stouts

Old Rasputin vs. Big Bear Black Stout

Went with the Rasputin as the winner early in the contest and passed out half way through the tasting

Tonight:

Side by side #2: American Stouts

Cadillac Mtn Stout, the Home Favorite and #1 BA American Stout vs. #2 BA American Stout, Rogue Shakespeare Stout

Hoping that starting this at 9:45 instead of 11:30 means I'll make it through this round.
Cadillac seems more balanced and I prefer its mouthfeel. A closer contest than last night; I give the edge to the Cadillac Mtn. Stout.
