What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

I recently started drinking hefeweizen... anyone have any good recomendations?
Franziskaner...Sam Adams HefeweizenUFO HefeweizenIt's tough to go wrong with hefeweizen.
Starting to think that as well. I really got spoiled, when I was on temporary duty in New Mexico I got to party with some rescue squadron helicopter pilots who just got back from temporary duty in Germany. They brought back almost an entire helicopter full of German beer. It was easily the best beer I ever tasted. I dont even know what it was called.

I love a good Hefeweizen myself, so I'll see if I can track down that Sam Adams...I haven't tried that one. Of the weiss beers, I'm partial to Hacker Pshorr (hopefully spelled right).

had a couple sam winters at the bar... along with a couple johnny black rocks...
How were the Brooklyn Winnters from last night?I've been meaning to pick some of those up
BW's were not bad. You know, I drink the winters, but I am never terribly satisfied. I am not sure I am a Winter guy. Worst winter beer - Harpoon Winter Warmer. I love Brookyln Chocolate. Brooklyn Brown is possibly my fav brown. Brooklyn lager is so so. Brooklyn Winter...I am undecided, but I feel like I am only buying it because the rest of the Winters suck balls
The Sam Winter Lager from like 2004 was awesome...Hasn't tasted exactly the same since...I am a big Brooklyn Brewer fan, so I will have to check out the Brooklyn Winter...Is the Harppon Winter Warmer the one that tastes like you just downed a glass of cinnamon and nutmeg? I had one last weekend and I was
Haven't had a Sam Winter yet. i keep hearing mixed to bad reviews.
The recipe does fluctuate for the Winter Lager...but thats why I like it. Keeps me coming back every year to see how this years vintage is. Christmas beers that don't change I rarely purchase twice (unless its a Belgian..then I usually do).As for bashing the Winter Lager, I'd imagine its the same people that bash Sam Adams in general. Same Adams is quite mainstream and some people can't handle that. The same people bashing Sam Adams today will be bashing Stone tomorrow...just wait. It won't be far in the future from now.

I don't know that I'd bother with the SA. It would be a big letdown from the Paulaners and Hackers. Close enough on the spelling. Nothing like going there (Hacker beer garden) at 10am for a nice Hefe for breakfast.

You see or already had any Rochefort 8 or 10?
No. I wish, but I haven't seen any.
I can help here. Mod for a week in exchange for both brews? :D
:dealwiththedevil:
I just got some of the 8. I'll be having that tonight. The store that had it also generally carries the 10, but were out of stock today.
 The 10 is magical. 98/100 for me.

I still drinking Grolsch like I do every night....

Coworker bought me a 6 of Czechvar tonight as a Xmas gift. I haven't popped one yet, but he said it was something that I would probably like.

Several Troegs Rugged Trail (used in the Smails chili recipe instead of an amber) and Jubilation.

Back off the wagon. :banned:
