This might be football related enough for the shark pool but lets face it, were smarter and prettier than them.

I took a look at the schedule and noticed both my Cowboys and Skins play this Sunday at 4:30. Since I live in the DC area I get the Skins. Usually I would find a periscope feed but I don't feel like being that cheap this year. Still cheap, but not that cheap.

What are my options w/o getting a contract other than the time football is on? I don't mind watching on a tablet/device.

Thanks in advance, ladies.

The only legit way to watch live NFL games in other markets is to sign up for Directv NFL Ticket if you live in the US. You can watch them after the fact if you pay for NFL Game Pass.

Other than that, your only option are pirated streaming options.

It's total garbage. I would gladly pay a per game or fixed yearly amount to watch all Bills games live, but they refuse to provide me with that option.

VPN your IP address outside of North America and you get the full NFL Ticket (redzone, NFL network, replay, all live games, no blackouts) for $149 from NFL.com.  If you want to just watch all the Cowboy's games you can get your team package for $89.

I did that last year, this year I'm just finding a stream on reddit when the game isn't OTA.

I don't think there is anything pirate about using a VPN to put your location out of North America.  NFL.com will take your US credit card with a US address for payment which suggests to me they don't care and it doesn't go against their agreement with Directv.  Nobody knows if your using a VPN in Brazil or if you're actually visiting there for an extended time during football season.

Less than $10/game for a VPN and your team package from NFL.com.

Reddit on laptop for games not found OTA...now if only I were smart enough to figure out how to connect laptop to TV to watch desired games on my big screen

Probably because torture is frowned upon...

What jiffy said.  Whatever out cable you have to HDMI.  You'll be able to find one on Amazon for around $7.  (VGA to HDMI, DVI to HDMI, DisplayPort to HDMI, S-USB to HDMI)

I don't have anything except free network TV (given along with a couple of movie channels as a promotion to keep me from cutting the cord entirely).  I will watch maybe 15 minutes of actual football because whenever it goes to commercial I get impatient and start doing something else or watching something else.  Since the 3+ hour broadcast is mostly commercials, most of the time when I go to check back with the game it's showing another commercial, so I start doing something else again and usually forget about the games.  The TV format for the NFL doesn't work for me at all.  Way too much time spent on commercials.  Plus, since I no longer have a favorite team or care who wins (aside from my fantasy team), I have no real interest or need to watch the games.  I'm bored with pro sports, not just the NFL.

For the people saying to VPN your IP address outside of the US would you please explain this or provide a link how to do it for us computer illiterates.  Thanks.

NFL Gamepass.  I'm not in my team's market any more and it comes free with the season tix (LOOK AT ME!).

I’ll watch it in my PS4.  PS Vue, just live games and Redzone Channel

Love PS Vue, it’s like cheaper better cable

Watch with my digital antenna. Miss a few games but
This is what I’ve done for the past several year. Luckily the cowboys are on 75% of the time but I’d really like to catch every game without listening to some dork watch and comment on his periscope feed. Sometimes they’re so annoying I can’t help but tell them to please #### and they boot me.

VPN = Virtual Private Network

Think of it as like a P.O. Box address for your house when you don’t want somebody who sees your mail to know where you live.

It gives your computer an (IP) address from some other country.

They have apps for phones and programs for laptops, then usually a subscription due every month, 5-8$ or so

Is there a way to play the NFL.com on an AppleTV? It says you can watch them on for 'Domestic' but the AppleTV isn't mentioned on the international. If you are using a international VPN...

I normally will watch Red Zone, which I get thru Xfinity. I live near DC, but am not a 'skins fan, and lately the Bears games (better this year? :pickle: :towelwave: ) really haven't been worth watching, so it works! I also find it allows me to be doing stuff while the games are on, if you only see short bursts of a game, you can force yourself to get up. Kinda.

Not a fan of Apple so not 100% sure.  You should be able to watch it through a browser on AppleTV.  Last time I messed around with Apple devices the problem I had was downloading the NFL app.  Even with a VPN your apple account is still a US based account so it won't let you download the foreign Gamepass app.  Apple is so ### ####ed restrictive that they are doing the type of restrictions the NFL would if they really didn't want you going this route.  Of course you can jailbreak apple devices, but, I don't know how because I just don't mess with them in the first place.

I can browse reddit fine at work, but, as soon as I click a link to one of the shady streaming sites, the corporate server blocks everything.

At home I'm trying out some IPTV services. Some were fine in preseason but week 1 will be the real test.
Do you have admin privileges on your work PC?  If so just remote in to your computer at home.  Easy peasy.

Doesn't Verizon have something that you can watch on the phone?  Maybe that's just RZ?
Yes but it only gives you access to the local games that you could watch to your local cable provider. And yes it also gives you red zone on mobile devices. But they don’t let you airplay it to a TV.

Thanks for the heads up with this thread. I just bought Sunday Ticket U season pass for myself by signing up using my .edu school email address. I paid a one-time $79.97 with promo code I found online. :bowtie:

Well, tonight I'm using the NBC Sports Roku app, because my local NBC affiliate is in a pissing match with Dish.

there was no other verification method for being in school?

What's this reddit streaming business?
Google reddit nfl streams. Go to site. Click a game thread. Once games start, Pick an HD link with the fewest ad overlays. Close those ads. Enjoy the game. Cast to TV if so inclined.

I once visited the estate of a librarian whose jagged teeth were so remote that her waves crashed upon my soul and accidentally lost my receipt as it fell into her sleek dolphin crease and caused an infection that eventually killed her.

I tried to sign up online with my .edu email address, but, they wanted my name, school, and DOB to match against records. Then since my DOB is outside the range of normal college kids, they wanted me to submit additional verification (transcript/record), or, give them permission to check with the school I was still enrolled.
I saw a thing online that there is some college that will give you an .edu just for submitting an application.  It said to submit the app with a fake SSN or something, which could be generated online.  I was intrigued, but seemed a little far afield.

well, sure, if that's all I need, then I am golden.
