What To Do If Your Team Lost Joe Burrow (11 Viewers)

In a one QB league, I think trading for Daniel Jones is the best option, followed by trading for Jordan Love.

In a superflex league, you're kind of screwed and you will need to empty the clip to get Browning, or overpay to trade for another QB. I play is mostly superflex leagues and QBs are expensive to acquire.

As an immediate multi-week fill-in for Burrow owners, Mac Jones looked pretty good in the Shanahan system. Mac was 26 of 39 passing for 279 yards and 3 TDs. He also got 6 carries. If you don’t want to blow-up your team by trading for a QB, Jones could be a good fill-in until another QB option potentially presents itself.

I'm just giving up.
Pretty close.

I got 2 redraft teams that have got off to extremely poor starts, which usually happens when your highly drafted QB gives you two awful games.

I don’t have a backup QB on either team. It’s national type contest with a 12 week regular season and no trading.

These are dead teams walking.

In my league scoring, 2 of the top 4 scoring QB's are currently on the wire. 12 teamer with 6 bench spots, and Russell Wilson and Daniel Jones are sitting at QB2 and QB4. Bryce Young is also at QB8, along with Aaron Rodgers and Spencer Rattler at QB10 and QB11. And then there's Browning, who immediately jumps in to a sweet spot. All is certainly not lost in a league with options. But if the well has dried up, it can be brutal.

Pick up Browning at minimum no one should be able to outbid you in dynasty for him (start 1 QB that is)

Not necessarily in certain cases. We get FAAB staggered by order of finish the year before (12th place finish gets the most—a whole lot more than others, and I unfortunately finished 2nd, which is the worst of all worlds). In addition, we’ve already done our auctions/free agents. I swear to God I added Zavier Scott (Min RB) before Sunday’s festivities and was going to add Browning also. Now I have absolutely no prayer at him.

If Danny dimes is there bid on him. Wilson most likely out there. He could be good until the cold bad weather comes or injury or just plain fizzles out.
Even Burrows backup Brown would put up serviceable #s.. Chase is gonna get peppered!

Are we targeting Browning over Wentz? in a superflex league I feel unloading the clip on Browning will be a must, but maybe add a claim for Wentz at 20% FAAB as a backup option in case I get outbid?

I have the top slot on the ww and have a choice between Browning and Bryce Young. I also have Chase if that matters. I was willing to stack Chase with Burrow, but not so sure for Browning.

I grabbed Geno off the wire as soon as I saw Burrow went down, I wasn't carrying a backup & he wasn't locked yet. Looking at Lawrence (same bye as Geno) or Browning for next waiver run but Wilson, Young, Rattler & Darnold are still available also. Got options at least & hope I can crap some extra points from other positions.

My strategy has been to spend a high percentage of my FAAB on Browning and a lessor amount (~5%) on Rattler. Those two won't be world beaters, but they should get you 80% of the Burrow production without having to trade away a good player or a relatively high draft pick.

In a league where I've lost both Purdy and JJM and there's literally nothing on the WW (HUGE bench) so maybe Tyrod Taylor but it sorta cut throat it feels like so someone might nab him lol
