What to do with Vick? (1 Viewer)

I've got 3 QB's (Kaepernick / Romo / Vick) If or when Vick comes back, will he be worth a good trade? He has been a let down the past two years, ended up picking him up as a backup. Just dont know if i should waiver him (doesnt seem to be worth much these days) or to wait til he's healthy and trade him off.

thoughts?

Never hurts to attempt a trade but I highly doubt anyone will bite. There is a good chance he won't play this year and he wasn't that good when he did play.

Even if Vick gets another start & tears it up, nobody will trade for him. He is too big a risk to either get injured & leave a game early, or just miss more games. Vick's primary value now is solely keeping another team from grabbing him & spot-starting against you in the playoffs for 4 TDs.

I'm rostering Vick, Foles, & Rivers, and as much as I'd like to drop Vick, I'm holding for that reason alone.

Other than a stash and hope (for a foles injury) in two QB leagues, can't see any value keeping him

I'm holding him behind Cam in one league JUST IN CASE. I've seen crazier things happen than him coming back in weeks 14-16 and tearing it up. I've got the roster space and its not hurting me so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

He's not going to see the field again this season barring a Foles injury.

i agree, i was dropping him if my 2nd waiver pick was available, which wasnt, so he is still on my roster but probably the next guy to be dropped. i have cutler and mccown and would probably just ride with cutler/mccown the rest of the year over vick as my backup.

Time to drop him, his days as the Eagles starter are done.

It's not a gray line/decision for Kelly when the backup passes for 14 TD's/0 INT's in limited work when he's gotten the chances, albeit against lower-level defenses. Foles made Chip's dealing with the press on this pretty easy.

I've been holding onto Vick because of his ability to put up big numbers.

Totally agree with this logic. Nobody will trade for him either due to the injury risk. I too have been holding onto Vick so other teams needing a QB cannot pick him. Even worse if he starts against me. However, with the recent success of Foles he may be droppable. Luckily, I do not need the bench spot right now but he would be the nex to be dropped.

I third that motion. I drafted Vick as my backup to Stafford, specifically so I don't play against him. Luckily claimed Foles off waivers to cover Stafford's bye. I expect to be holding both Vick and Foles for the rest of the season as I don't need either one exploding against me in the playoffs.

Don't forget that Foles got concussed three weeks ago. If it happens again he may be out for more than one week. If that happens then I believe that Vick will be back in the saddle as the starter. Could that happen in week 14, 15, or 16. Yes.
