The board software upgrade had me thinking.

What kind of device do people use to read the forums. So I'm asking.

I guessed at 50/50.  I will say I prefer to post more on the Desktop so if I’m on my iDevices I don’t post as much or as long as it’s a pain.

Also Joe - if you are wanting the stats I would think Invision can tell you.  Pretty sure there’s something in the http headers that discloses the device.

Haven't used a laptop to come here since I got my Droid2 with the slide out keyboard. Switched from phone to tablet around the start of the pandemic because I wasn't carrying my phone in my pocket all day while I was at home.

Yeah, posting from my phone can be a pain.

1) Deleting quoted material you accidentally quoted is impossible.

2) Text for linking is broken. When you start to type after the link it starts repeating text and then you have to manually select a lower line and then edit the link again. It's strange and annoying.

3) Deleting mentioned names is almost impossible as well as emojis.

These things have been there for a while and never really complained about them as it's just quirks that just exist. But if you are talking to them through this upgrade, I might as well mention it. Not sure if this is the case for others, but certainly me.

I use Chrome on an Android device if it matters. I also just upgraded my phone and still there, so not the device.

30/70. I work from home, but don't use my work laptop to access FBGs. I use my phone mostly, but now have access to my home PC most days of the week (I got the office back from Mrs. O) so I am now using the home PC much more than before.

I'm more 70/30 but agree I find the Desktop experience infinitely easier.

Tapatalk would change that.  ;)

I work from home so I check-in via my work laptop during the working hours. If I check-in after hours I'll most likely be on my phone.  Voted 50/50.

Currently probably 90% from laptop - working from home I don't even use the home computer anymore (my wife has overtaken it, so I may just buy another for myself when I find a killer deal).

I'll browse the forums occasionally from my phone, generally if I get a notification of a reply or mention and I'm not at my computer, but I find using the phone for anything more than browsing to be a bit tedious.

You should add some Google Analytics tracking code so you can get some really good insights, including this type of data. Not sure if that's something invisboard offers or not.

I see you have Google Tag Manager installed, should be really easy to drop that code right in the header.

The only time I come to FBG on my phone is to look up rankings/projections, but I've hopped on the forums after a few times.  So answered 90/10 but it's probably more like 99/1.

95% android phone (s10 plus), 5% tablet (iPad pro)

That's why I've mentioned a couple of times that the font size is way too small. Do I sound like a broken record yet?

Not sure if I like this update or not yet. I like the cleaner look though. Haven't tried on my phone. I said 80% desktop/laptop 20 on phone but that was more because on my phone I felt the board wasn't very readable and when I posted a comment in a thread after hitting post the website would send me back to the 1st page of the thread and that was a real pain if you were responding in a thread with over 10-20 pages it became an absolute pain. There were other issues phone wise but I hadn't used my phone for this board in well over a year. I've used an IPHONE SINCE THE START HERE had an IPHONE6S until recently got an XR haven't really tried with my phone to read the board. I mostly used my phone to read the board and like someone mentioned that fits this best claustrophobic to view. Everything seems really smushed together as well and its harder to read. Posting is a pain like I said but usually is on a phone. If I have to post on the phone it's just a quick liking someone's post, responding to a PM, or quick reply to someone. If I'm gonna post my sourced info in my teams thread it's easier to use my desktop too.

100% from phone. I have a home laptop but don’t use it very often. And I have zero desire for my employer to track my web surfing habits on my work laptop, so phone it is.

Exactly same here. I'm almost always perusing the board on my phone while going to the bathroom or while half-watching TV or a sporting event. Most if not all of my substantive posts are on laptop/desktop.
