What Was Your High School Yearbook Quote? (1 Viewer)

C'mon. You know it. What was it? They're all miserably embarrassing unless you quoted the Dead. Then you had a mullet, and you're probably cool.

Mine was excerpts of Shut The Door By Fugazi and The Miracle by Suicidal Tendencies.

What was yours?

"Don't know. Don't care."

i don't think my parent were thrilled with it.

What's funny is earlier this week my 17 year old daughter was just filling out her senior yearbook page and was asking me about this. She was wondering what she should put. I suggested "For a good time, call xxx-xxxx"

Shockingly, my wife wasn't amused.

"they were the best of times, they were the worst of times"

gb was on the yearbook staff, and put that one in there for me since I opted out of using a quotation.

he also added "-Charles Dickens" to another gb who wrote "quotations are for people who don't have anything better to say for themselves".

not sure what was up with the Dickens them. now I'm wondering when I submit reply to this, if Dickens gets censored. I'm really excited abuot this.

"Do you ever get down on your knees and thank god that you know me and have access to my dementia?"

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to, so that when they turn their backs on you you'll get the chance to put the knife in.

I thought I was trying to be smart, in retrospect, kinda douchey paraphrasing Macbeth.

Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

If I was a few years younger, and had the benefit of time, I would have almost certainly gone with-

"It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times."

Some of these are awesome, but I'm a little disconcerted with what went on the board this morning to comment in a fun way. Perhaps I'm being melodramatic, but it feels like some old threads (that not even I cared about) got the axe for an arbitrary reason. I pay as a subscriber to the site to use the FFA. I believe, in paying for Rotopass and other things, I've done my unofficial duty as a bandwidth user.

What I'm seeing here worries me.

I'm worried about the general direction of the website, and I'm not going to get cute about it, I just need to say it.

Got pranked on mine. Was a runaway from Sept of my junior yr til March of my senior. One of my teachers and a big guy in town helped me negotiate my way back in, even tho i was livin out of town - it was all a mess but it worked. For yearbook, one of my besties ran our yr and asked me if i wanted in. Had missed picture day, but he cropped a candid taken by yb staff when i was negotiating to get back and he personally took down a whole buncha caption stuff from me to deadline rush to the printer. Somehow the devil got in him - tho he became a cleric and has been Boston's top minister to the homeless for almost 40 yrs - and the only thing he entered was "football 1". Between that and the candid, it truly looked like what John Hinckley's yearbook entry would be, someone who shot his wad w freshman fb and gave in to a life of quiet desperation. Got me good -

All good things must come to an end.

That's not a yearbook quote.  Just talking about your post and the general direction of the boards.

That being said, my yearbook thing was something along the lines of "a 40 Oz of liquor and we all begin to pray but it's not that we care.  Where's the pope?"
