What will be the ADP for Micheal Vick (1 Viewer)

I think alot of teams will take him back..just thinking about his draft spot for next year..I say WW pickup for 2009 after we all see what happens.

No way he walks into a starting role IF he is even reinstated and IF he is even signed prior to the season starting (as a FA after the season starts I see a lot less media hoopla for the team that signs him than if they signed him in June, for example). So if you are in a league that grabs backup QBs (and that is IF he is signed to play QB...would not surprise me at all if he was picked up as a WR convert), then maybe he gets drafted, but my gut tells me no one in a non-dynasty format will find him useful in '09.

I think his point was your wording was a little confusing. Just because the courts punish a player does not mean the league can't turn around and punish them as well. It's two completely separate entities. If you don't play and live by league rules, you are punished.

He'll be suspended, won't play in 2009.
I understand your thinking, but he was already punished for what he did by a court of law.. I don't think the NFL can over ride that law.
guess you lost this year in common sense..well better luck in 2009!

My crystal ball says Al Davis will cut Russell, refuse to pay him what he owes him, and sign Mike Vick for $79 million. All before Goodell makes any ruling.

I think he gets suspended no less than 8 games. I see him in Tampa & while I didn't see him having a shot at starting at QB again, it's possible with an aging Garcia.

What I'm not getting is people are saying he'll be suspended again. Isn't he currently serving an NFL suspension? Goodell suspended indefinitely from minute one? He hasn't even gotten the initial suspension lifted yet, which I think he might after he's released from prison because Goodell whole thing is he wants to see the player make obvious changes and rehabilitate... nothing rehabilitates you faster then prison.

On him playing next season? I really doubt it... and if he does it's not right of jail because of the media circus that will follow. No team wants to draw that publicity... he didn't have Peyton Mannings QB rating to begin with. I say if he does get a job at all it's out of complete desperation something of what the Lions went through this year when they signed Culpepper. It's going to be an injury riddled team that has no QB left and they'll bring him in for a work out. He's never going to jump back into a starting role, if you guys recall he was on the hot seat as a starter before he even went to prison. Matt Ryans promising rookie season and all of the receivers in Atlanta pretty much summed up what Vick does to an NFL team, limits it. Sure, he has great legs and a strong arm but his accuracy and vision was absolutely terrible. Roddy White didn't have great numbers and was looked at as a bust until Vick was out. Now with Matt Ryan at the Helm and even Redman he put together two solid seasons.

Vick will play again in the NFL, but he won't be the face of any franchise... or offered big money, ever again.

Vick is currently under indefinite suspension from the NFL and I do think they will make him wait a few more games but probably not a whole season more.

As far as I know he didn't face any disciplinary action from the NFL prior to this so he would be a first time offender.

My guess would be 4-8 games more.

My guess as to where he ends up, if it is the NFL, is Seattle.

Hasslebeck has a balky back and they probably need to upgrade their backup QB position. Although he may be brought in as a receiver or slash type player.

Also, I think the Mora JR connection may factor in as well. Mora Sr might have callled Vick a coach killer but the relationship between Mora JR and Vick was always ok.

My time is way over..I lost the bet..needed 25 replies in 3 hours..not counting my own..guy I bet always has the Detroit topics, which we can't use.. Another $10 down the drain.

MODS CLOSE THIS THREAD!

Let me say that I think Vick as a football player would fit best in Seattle.

But thinking about it, I don't think Seattle fans would accept him and it could be a bigger PR nightmare there than some other cities.

Remember Seattle is a city where the Mariners banned "Yankees Suck!" T-shirts because they were deemed too offensive. So I don't think Vick would go over too well in the Seattle

no ####, if he actually followed the plays instead of bailing, he might have learned something.

I believe he served his time, and I like animals and the law. I also don't think Russell is the long-term solution in Oakland and would love them to sign him for 4mil per to compete for the job. My $.02

I don't think he'll be punished much by the NFL for what happen on his property.
you mean that giantass gambling ring he was running on his property, or the dog torture?
I'm not sure..depends on his state..what state he live in?
state pen?
thats my problem what state pen?
Ft Leavenworth Kansas maybe? And to answer the original question, undrafted for all of the reasons stated above.

Imposing additional league penalties including suspension and even permanent disbarment are within the authority of the commish's office and do not constitute overriding the law.I think it would be ENTIRELY appropriate for Goodell to impose a 1 year suspension given that Vick's money has done everything possible to minimize his time in the legal process and gives the impression of someone going through the motions just to get back on the gravy train. We've heard the typical I'm sorry / I found Jesus stuff from Vick; it would be nice to see some sort of genuine demonstration of remorse.
