I hang them in the closet but just due to having more closet space than drawer/shelve space. I don't really care either way.

Just like horse thieves. First you hang them. Then you fold them. Then you hang them again.

Exactly this. My dresser is pretty full, so hanging jeans makes more sense.

Neither. But my wife folds them. 
I'm not sure how it worked out this way, but for the last 2-3 years, my wife has done all of my laundry. Maybe it's because she has more off time than I do. I'm not really sure. But it didn't used to be this way. That said, I'm certainly not about to stop her. I just smile and say thank you when I get home and all my stuff is cleaned and folded or hung.

How many pairs of jeans do you guys own? I usually try to keep 3 in the rotation. Fold and place up top in my closet instead of my dresser.

No, but yesterday I picked up a pair of jeans at the cleaners because the zipper broke. She dry cleaned them for me without asking, which was nice. I may not go back. This is heaven.

6-7 in rotation. I wear jeans every day to work though.

(3) work jeans. in my regular rotation for work
(3) home jeans. these are between the 3 work jeans and the torn up jeans. these are for wearing at home but not quite ready for total man work. light man work/fishing/going to the farmers market and running errands type of jeans. They have been transitioned from work jeans to home jeans
(2) man work jeans. torn up jeans that have paint on them, holes in knees, nicks and cuts for when I do man work at home
(2) fleeced lined that I wear in winter when it gets really cold or for the ice rink for hockey games
(2) thinner cut for when I want to look slim, hot, and sexy

I'm 50/50.
Newer ones that I'm still proud of and am motivated to keep pristine (that post-purchase high), I hang.
Once they get some visible wear and tear, they join the folded jean pile.

I remember the first time I ever wore a pair of jeans . . . 1988-09-16. I was 21. Growing up, my mother didn't approve of jeans. I wore slacks, khakis, corduroys, dress paints, and once in a while sweat pants. But never jeans. I don't know what prompted me to finally buy a pair. I was in college and people thought it was weird I never wore them before. It never really struck me as something I was missing. I remember the actual date, as that was the day Tom Browning (RIP) pitched a perfect game for the Reds.

I never pay full price for clothes. They have sales all the time.

Had to go count. 3. I recently gave a few pairs to my 20 and 18 year old sons. We can wear each others clothes if we want, except my 18yo dresses up too much.
I’m pretty sure I’ve only worn one in the last year. Shorts and sweats most days. Slacks for the office (2x weekly)

This was my first thought. "WHAT KIND OF FREAK HANGS THEIR JEANS??? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM???" Then @AAABatteries said "I have more closet space" and I thought. "Oh. yeah. I guess that makes sense. Not freaks."
