I watch/follow the Tribe on gamecast for most games, but don’t go out of my way to follow other teams. I’m in LA and have a free night tomorrow. I considered going to the Dodgers or Angels game, to either scratch off Chavez Ravine or see Shohei, but I’d rather just go to Hollywood Park.

I have the MLB ticket and watch probably 7-10 games a week. At least partial games. It helps that I am in a dynasty baseball fantasy league but baseball is still one of my favorites to watch.

I do since they instituted the pitch clock and the minimum batter faced rule. Thank you, baseball. For once.

7th inning and beyond was killing me the past decade.

And it was my favorite team that ushered in the long, long games. The Red Sox were masters of the long game in the aughts, and everybody followed suit. Every pitch meant an epic two minute walk around the batter's box or pitcher's mound to clear one's head.

Forget that. Get in there and hit and pitch.

Yes. Rangers fan and magik baisbol participant.

Thanks to Bally's, I listen to more games than I watch, but very active in what's going on day to day.

Yes. Keep up with Cards scores daily and watch 2-3 Cards games and about 1 non-Cards game per week. Watch all of playoffs and WS, unless there's a significant football (or futbol) conflict.

This is a good point- the new rules have been fantastic, and lend to being able to sit through and enjoy full games.

It's hard to answer accurately for me. Last season I watched most Yankee games, getting caught up in the Judge record chase. Before that I hadn't watched in many years - except for flipping around and checking in a few times a game. This season I started off watching almost every game in April, May and June - but their offense became so brutal, I could no longer do it.

I'd rather watch Messi play if I'm going to watch sports that night.

We watch most every SF Giants game, with exception of the early weekday games while I'm still at work. It's the soundtrack of summer in our home.

no. Despite being a NY'er, I find it the most boring and drawn-out professional sport there is. Sorry. You couldn't pay me to watch a game.

Follow yes, go to 1 or 2 games a season yes, but I don't watch on TV as much as I used too. Mostly since the Dodgers started a network that only a small amount of people in LA actually get.

Do I watch sometimes? Yes. Do I follow? Yes to the extent I am in a fantasy baseball league and need to keep track of my players. Do I do either of these things regularly? No. So I voted no.

Yes - I’m a Nats fan and watch a decent number (usually just the end after putting kid to bed). Will put other games on MLB.tv or listen on the radio through the MLB app pretty often too. Fantasy baseball team too.

Oddly, I haven’t been to Nats Park for a game yet this year, but went to a game of their AA affiliate, and went to games while out in SF and Cleveland this summer.

I watch the Rays a few innings most nights but I’ll probably never watch a regular-season game that doesn’t involve the Rays ever again. It’s just too much. But I do like having them on while I make dinner.

More of a college fan. We have season to Tix to Oregon State baseball.....the college game is awesome! The post season is better than March Madness, imo.....of course I'm not much of a basketball guy.

I mostly follow former OSU players in the bigs.......but my son is really getting into MLB so we been watching a lot more. As you can imagine, we are big Adley Rutschman fans

Follow. Rarely watch a full game on tv (due to work and family activities). I will sometimes have games on in the background.

I used to have Giants season tickets before i moved to Colorado (01). Live too far away to hit many games now

One of my earliest memories is watching and cheering for the Mets. When I was three years old and starting to develop longer term memory and identifying hobbies, I began to love baseball and the Mets won the World Series so they were prominently in the news and 3 year old me loved their colors. So, I instantly became a fan and have ever since regularly monitored their games and regular season progress even though I don't actually have the time to watch many games anymore.

Since moving to Arizona I have attended a number of games. Their stadium is actually very good for the fan experience (cost, location, ability to get in and out, temperature, cleanliness, etc.) and when my wife and I started dating we got 1/4 season tickets and really enjoyed that experience together so we'll make it a point to catch at least a game or two every year (I specifically target the one time per year when the Mets come to play).

Voted yes because I still "follow" baseball but I rarely if ever sit down to watch a regular season game. I do watch and/or monitor all of the playoff games.

These days I'm lucky if I get to watch 2 or 3 full games per week, but I play fantasy baseball and follow who's doing what, which teams are hot, etc. throughout the season. The season is just so freaking long, I don't have the time to watch 150+ games at this point in my life. The pitch clock has definitely helped to speed the game up and I'm all for it, but the game is still very often boring to watch as it's so HR or K heavy. Much prefer to watch college baseball.

Keep up with it for fantasy but never actually watch lol

That says so much about baseball. Show me the resulting stats and I can tell you how the game unfolded and who is good.

I really enjoy fantasy baseball. So many numbers. It's easier to predict imo
My only issue is the monotony of setting lineups every day. I like fantasy football better because, for the most part, it centers on events that take place just one day per week so there's more anticipation and excitement.

good point. also the injuries in baseball are ridiculous

Chalk me up to "follow" but don't really watch much. I am in a fantasy baseball league so really just look at the Yahoo! fantasy app for my players' stats. I'll occasionally watch an Angels or Dodgers game. Especially Angels if Ohtani is pitching (I have him on my fantasy team).

The Blue Jays are my favourite professional sports team. It's the one sport I was very good at and when I wasn't playing competitively any more, I played a lot with my family, so I have the strongest connection to it. I think it's fun as hell to watch, I also understand how it can be completely boring if you're not into it like I am.

Yes. Don't watch my hometown Tigers unless I'm at a bar or somewhere else they are on due to not wanting to pay for Bally sports. I got the MLB ticket instead and watch at least a few innings every day.

I disagree to some extent. You can get the gist of the game but to really know if a player is actually good I still need to watch them play. Especially pitchers. There are so many factors for pitching that you can't tell only by the stats. Now I know there are millions of new stats (Spin Rate, XFIP, ERA+, etc) but those don't mean a lot to me because there are so many of them. But let me watch a guy pitch and see his movement, pitch sequencing, mechanics, and I have a much better understanding of if he is good or not.

Yes, still torturing myself with Met games. Bases loaded balk last night to lose the game.
Might be the only other team and fanbase currently that can match my agony as a Padre fan. But add in the entire team history and I’m asking you to hold my beer.

I disagree to some extent.

You're right. I was being a bit hyperbolic with the "you only need stats thing." It just went to a larger, more nuanced point that you can tell a lot about baseball simply by results -- you can divine things that you'd have no prayer divining from other sports.

My interest has waned in the past 5-10 years. Doesn’t help that the product the Yankees put on the field (outside of Judge) the past few years is boring/tough to watch.

used to live and breathe the Reds - I mean "WLW - Reds on Radio" every night.

that was a long time ago - but still watched a lot in the 80-early 90s

now I couldn't tell you 4 Reds - but would love to watch them in the playoffs/series.

You can set up leagues that don't have daily lineups and have h2h matchups for one or two weeks at a time. I actually created a format where we are h2h with two six team divisions (upper and lower). We play 5 week "seasons" where you play everyone in your division one time. We have lineup days of Friday (before games start) and Monday (before games start). At the end of the 5 weeks the winner of each division gets a percentage and then the top three teams from the bottom division move up and the bottom three from the top division move down and then we start over (same players - not a new draft but the "season" starts over). We do this for 4 "seasons" and then every team gets seeded for teh playoffs. The seeding is based on the number of times you were in the upper division. Top 4 seeds get a bye and the other 8 teams play the first round (one week h2h). It keeps going until the last two weeks of the MLB season which is our World Series.

It is really good because it doesn't have the feel of the long season because it is broken up into the mini seasons. It allows for an injury not to kill your 6 month season as you start over again in 5 weeks. It is really a great format but it is a lot of work for the commish because there is a lot of manual scheduling through the website that has to be done. We use fantrax and it works decently for us.

****, is that what happened? I had Mets -1.5 as the final game in a 6 leg parlay that paid out +4664 and I had hit the other 5 already. I was over the moon when I saw they scored 2 in the top of the inning.

I hedged and put a largish bet on Royals ML to still come out way ahead, but a balk to lose? Ugh, so demoralizing.

Yeah, it looked like Alvarez did a nice job attempting to cover it with a timeout but the umps didn't buy it. Brutal way to lose.
But I'm looking forward to the rebuilding. Hopefully setting up a nice foundation.

I voted no.

I used to be religious about following baseball as in reading the box scores of every game, every day. Still would count myself as a Tribe fan but have not watched a game this season and only check the standings about once a week.

Don’t have the time anymore.
