What's the most expensive meal you've paid for and how much di (1 Viewer)

Around $600 dollars or so at top end NYC restaurants. Think most recently just under $600 at Daniel for tasting menu with wine pairing.

Not dinner, but spent close to $40.00 on two bottles of Coors Lights at Disneyland.

The only way to get beer in the park was room service and I really wanted a beer with my nightly fireworks. This was forever ago, but my wife still tells this story to anyone who will listen.

Had 3 customers run up an $11000 bill at a strip club in McAllen about ten years ago.

Don't ask.

Those bastards damn near got me fired. Those bastards then cut me a $270k PO a week later.
Is this McAllen, Texas?

Pretty sure mentioning something like that, and then dropping it is against board rules.
They each apparently spent "alone time" with a couple strippers in a private room. One apparently had "alone time" 3 different times.

I tried to refuse payment.. quickly realized that was a bad idea. On the corporate card it went.

Called my VP first thing the next morning... the only reason I wasn't fired. He understood the situation and covered my butt against the owner of the company, with whom I still ended up on a long painful call.

Those guys bought anything I wanted them to, whenever I wanted them to for the next year. Pricks. I kept that receipt with me any time they felt like trying to say no.

I've had a handful of nice meals that have ranged from $300-$500. The most recent one was CUT Steakhouse in Vegas (fantastic steak--the Japanese Wagyu is special). However the best experience I had ran us about $900 (including tip, which was about $150) for lunch in Spain. The place was Aponiente, and we did the Grand Menu tasting with the pairings. Worth every penny for the overall experience including our own waiter and being served by the chef himself.

Normally we would have been on a massive waiting list but the place unexpectedly opened (they shut down for a portion of the year to work on their menu) when we were driving through during vacation.
