When do you Draft your Main Leagues? (1 Viewer)

It seems there have been a lot of threads regarding key content (ie perfect draft articles) arriving AFTER most people have already drafted. I thought it might be an interesting exercise to see exactly when most folks conduct their annual drafts.

1) This is for your primary league(s)... not "warm-up" drafts

2) Feel free to select multiple options if you have different big drafts

3) If you drafted during the week... select the weekend closest

ME: All my drafts are the same weekend....

SAT AUG 20th:

• 9am : Online "Friends/Family" draft with pops/brother/friends back home in boston.

• 2pm : Commish a Live Coworkers draft at the casinos in Tunica. Small $50 buyin but it's a great night of drafting, poker, gambling, debauchery.

AUG 21st

• 2pm: Back in Memphis I commish Live Draft for a $250 buyin 16-team league at a bar by my house.

Basically for ME, any draft-centric information coming out after the 20th is borderline useless. I'm curious where most other folks fall. This is not intended to be a #####fest so lets not do that here. Just vote and/or post up when your drafts are and let's get some info together...shall we?

Last weekend of August / end of 3rd Preseason week is the optimal time.

Earlier than that is too early. We like to do it when rosters/depth charts are more hashed out.

Labor Day weekend too many people out of town.

I have one that bounces around from year to year - this year it's August 30.

My other two are the day after labor day and the Thursday after Labor Day

I have one league that drafts way early. It was originally scheduled to draft the first week of August but moved it to last weekend after many members protested. Last year they drafted in July! That's way too early.

The two leagues I commission have live drafts August 23 and August 27. I like to do mine around the last week/weekend of August, since rosters are more settled around that time.
