I can easily see an almost instant impact ranking each of them respectfully around the 5-10 overall at WR & RB with upside in the top 5 for the rest of this year. Thoughts?

WR

1. Brown

2. Thomas

3. Nelson

4. Johnson

5. Cobb

5. Gordon

7. Sanders

8. Maclin

9. Beckham, Jr.

10. Jones

10. Watkins

10. Hilton

13. Evans

RB

1. Murray

2. Forte

3. Foster

4. Charles

5. Lynch

5. AP

7. Ingram

8. Ellington

9. Bell

10. Lacy

10. McCoy - hmmm

10. Robinson

13. Forsett

Scoring formats vary, but in our full PPR league I am projecting him to be in the 15.00-16.50 range. He may blow up but I don't see him throwing up 20-24 out of the gate. I figure he'll have a Benjamin-Hopkins-Watkins type floor with upside to Beckham-Green-Julio-Evans range. Basically, solid WR2 or low end WR1.

It wouldn't suck if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure top 5 from the get go is realistic for a guy who hasn't played for three months.

Has there been any recent reports about the shape that these two are in? I read a few weeks back that Gordon has been working out at the team facility and seems to be in good physical shape. But I also read somewhere that Peterson is not in shape and the Vikings question his ability to step right in and play.

Does anyone has any credible news links regarding this?

Here's a pretty good article from today on Gordon:

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2014/11/kyle_shanahan_on_josh_gordons.html

per Donte Whitner: "He's just been here working hard. He doesn't really say much. A lot of times he has his headphones on. But if you go out there into the indoor [practice field] and you see him working with the strength and conditioning coaches, he's working really hard -- a lot of sprints, a lot of working out. So hopefully he's able to come back and not miss a beat."

Peterson, in bad shape...right. I'm guessing he's been spending extra time working out.

You could argue he's not ready to take the hits, but it's not as if he's played preseason in recent years.

I'd be willing to bet he's ready to step in and take 20 carries on short notice.

The whole narrative of ADP "running mad" is so hilarious to me. Its the NFL, that ra-ra stuff doesn't mean anything and nobody will be scared of him.
