Ours is thanksgiving morning, or just prior to Week 12 (our final regular season week).
Yes this is way too late -- but we're a longtime and tight league, no worries about collusion, and each trade carries a 5 dollar fee per team. We extended the deadline last year in the interest of the pot, and sure enough, it helped and led to a record pot.
My dynasty league is kicking around the idea of abolishing our trade deadline, I'm a little leery of the thought but am not exactly sure of any concrete reason why we can't. Can someone enlighten me on why are trade deadlines important?

For a Keeper or Redraft League, the trade deadline is to "encourage" teams that were successful during the regular season to have the same basic roster (studs) into the playoffs. It also allows teams that are out of contention to limit their ability to "influence" the playoffs with questionable trades. We have all seen them.... but a deadline limits how they influence the playoffs. Some teams are willing to "sell the farm" for a deal that would push them over the top without consideration for the next season.... with the risk of them not returning for the following season. Or hindering the new owner taking over a team without something vital.....For a Dynasty, I am of the opinion that the only restriction on trades is during the playoffs. Not to allow teams to trade DURING the playoffs would make it a fair battle. Allowing trades after the playoffs is best since this creates a "No Off Season" atmosphere. I still feel limiting it during the playoffs would "create a level playing field".
Weeks 11 and 12 are limited. You can only make trades with teams within 3 spots of you in the standings. So the 12th place team can only trade with places 9th, 10th, and 11th. The 6th place team can trade with places 3rd to 5th and 7th to 9th.
Three separate leagues, run by three separate Commishes, and each one has a week 10 trade deadline. My guess is that if this were a poll, Week 10 would get the most votes.
