Where does Romo rank now? (1 Viewer)

If you really look at it, this was a FLAWLESS performance. Crayton dropped a TD that my dog coulda caught, and also didn't catch the one pass that was picked. It wasn't just the numbers, it was the way he did it. 75% of the QB's in this league would have folded with the pressure in the pocked. He just side stepped everybody and made throw after throw on the money. He's right behind Manning/Brady in my book right now, ahead of Kitna/McNabb/Brees, etc.

I agree. I had the guy sitting on my bench the past two weeks against MIA and CHI... I won't be doing that again. The guy has looked awesome at every turn so far.

I also agree - I'd put Romo up there with Manning, Palmer and Brady - maybe just a tad below because he's only been playing on this level for a year, but he's definetely a stud and top 3-5 fantasy QB.

Well, nobody is in the class Brady and Manning. Those two are untouchable.

McNabb has the back class IMO to be ranked slightly higher.

After that it's Romo and Palmer.

It wouldn't surprise me if Manning is only the 3rd or 4th highest scoring fantasy QB this season. Addai is be playing well and with defense playing so much better, they seem to be adopting a more balanced attack. Of course, this could all change next week if he throws for 5 TD's.

But Romo is looking really really good, and the Bengals Defense is shoddy enough that Palmer might be airing it out a lot this year.

I'm not really sure what to make of McNabb after this week's gawdy performance. You got to think there's a flukey aspect to today's game, but he can definitely end up in the top 3 if he stays healthy.

Also, we can't discount Kitna being in the top 5.

So right now I think I might have, for fantasy purposes, the top 5 being

1. Brady

2. Romo

3. Palmer

4. Manning

5. McNabb

6. Kitna

I know Romo is a bit high, but the guy has looked really really good. If he doesn't crack the top 4, it will be because he doesn't throw as many TD's as some of the other guys. However, he'll definitely be up there in yardage. The 'Boys have yet to score less than 37 points in a game. Yeesh!

Please stop mentioning McNabb in this thread. He played against a high school defense today.

And I wish Romo would turn his hat around.

I love the way this guy plays the game. Moves around in the pocket and makes all the tough throws. He also has a positive attitude thats easy to root for. Hes a stud for sure IMO.

before we crown his ###.......imagine how much better he would be if he had a WR2 to throw to...

-----

Brady

Palmer

Romo

Manning

Kitna

and kitna is in there because he'll be chucking the ball like this aaaaaalll year.

IMO he is un-benchable at this point. He was EXTREMELY impressive against the Bears D. If he can do that against Chicago, I don't think you can bench him against anybody.

on espn was a graphic that romo is 3rd in NFL history in passing yards through first 13 games to start a career (after only warner & bulger)...

Not that I am biased because I drafted him low, started him three weeks in a row and reaped the rewards, but..I humbly agree with you. When you rock da Bears D, and do it IN CHICAGO, well you have earned the right to stay in any fantasy lineup til further notice.

The thing I find about Romo is......he nevers seems to throw short passes, they are all 20 tard variety and lasers that gain huge yardage.

That is a definite in a PPR style league with performance scoring!

His ability to step-in the pocket or step out of it has a lot to do with this... that buys time for his receiving crew to run their routes and get open - tough for a DB to run with a guy for 4 seconds not knowing where he'll go/cut/hook/slant... I think that this is his biggest ability... to 'feel' the rush, to be able to buy a second - all of this while keeping an eye at all his options... that creates 20 yard passes...

I targeted Romo in every single league this year and had a good feeling he would sneak into the top 5. Looking good so far.

My top 5 going forward...

Brady

Palmer

Manning

Romo

Kitna
