Most of Marshall's stuff was off field or coaching staff......TO no real off field problems but ton of QB issues....Cutler more than any QB's that TO has played with, thinks he is all that and a bag of chips, not sure if that is a good mix

What is all this Seattle talk? Why would he want to go there? The Miami/Carolina talk makes sense, but I just don't think the Seattle connection is that obvious unless I am missing something. In fact, if they are set anywhere, I thought it would be at WR.

Just that Seattle is lacking a productive outside receiver with the departure of Burleson. Word is that Branch is likely to be moved as well. That pretty much leaves Housh, inexperienced Butler, and other guys like Obomanu who have never made an impact.As far as him wanting to go there... I think his options are going to be very limited. One team, maybe two. He'll take what he can get if he wants to keep playing at this stage of his career.

I think Chicago would be a good fit. Cutler is just as bat #### crazy as Owens and I for one, think they would make a great pair.

I'll venture a Carolina guess. Steve Smith wants somebody to help take some coverage off him, and the Panthers likely want to surround a relatively inexperienced QB like Matt Moore with the best options available.

If he signs somewhere, it would be his 5th team since 2003. There is a reason for this. At one time, his talent was worth the BS (though he still got run out of town within a couple of years). Now it may not be.

I just don't see the Redskins doing that to their new QB. I can't see how McNabb would want TO on his team after what happened in Philly. TO's diminishing skills just don't make him worth the headache.

I'm not 100 percent sold on this CP. We all thought Randy Moss was done when he was at Oakland too. Randy Moss was going in 3rd and 4th rounds of redrafts even at the start of that season, that's with a guy like Tom Brady. So that tells you where everyone's mind was with where Randy Moss was at heading into New England. He goes and sets th NFL record for Td's or whatever he did and it just goes to show you what a change of scenery can do for a guy.He still was playing at a VERY high level in Dallas just 2 years ago, extremely high level. There's no way you can convince me from the end of the season he played with the Cowboys and the beginning of the year he played with Buffalo that he went downhill that fast.........I don't believe it.What I do believe is if this guy is put in the right spot, he will put up solid numbers again.

He'll be signed by someone eventually, possibly soon after the draft once teams see what new Xmas toys they've unwrapped. Maybe Seattle now that they lost out on Marshall and have a hole to fill with Burleson gone.
But I believe the days of Owens being the go to guy and big time producer are over, and with that comes a less stomach for the headaches he generally brings with him wherever he goes. At 36+ this season I think his skills are in decline and not at all what they were even two seasons ago.

Good Posting. I agree 100%. Terrell Owens might be completely done but you can't come to that conclusion based on last year's performance. Consider that Lee Evans, who is 7 yrs younger than TO, posted these numbers 44/612/13.9 with his longest reception being 50 yds. Owens put up 55/829/15.1 with a longest reception of 98 yds. For me these numbers are compelling. I had the privelege of watching several Buffalo games last year and the opportunities for Owens and Evans were abysmal. The play of the quarterback and offensive line were bad and the coaching was TERRIBLE. I'm of the opinion that guys who score 98 yd touchdowns in the NFL haven't physically lost it yet. I'd love for the Bears to get him. If there is anything he loves in this world it's working out and keeping his body in top shape. I think he could have a couple more years of high level production.
Ya if I knew Mcnabb was going to end up in Washington I would have guessed elsewhere. Iactually have no idea where he will end up now. New England? Cincy? Oakland?

Ditto, he may not be in his prime, but the guy still can play. Buffalo was NOT an indication of a severe drop off in skills rather an indicator that he still has some gas left.. And he only broke 1,000 in his last season in Dallas because of the SF game where he went nuts for over 200 yards. Averaging just over 50 yards a game for the rest of the season is hardly "playing at a very high level."

I looked up the numbers and you bring up a good point but let me remind you of something that's between the lines in those numbers. Tony Romo got hurt in overtime of the Arizona game, he hurt his throwing hand.If you look at the next few games, he only caught the ball 30 yards a game with Brad Johnson as the QB. Let me tell you right now Brad Johnson was absolutely aweful in replacing Tony Romo during that time.It was my opinion since he was so aweful, Romo was rushed back because the team was in a playoff race and Romo NEVER looked the same to me for the rest of the season. That entire injury was really behind why I thought Tony Romo was a bit of a fantasy sleeper this year. They saw him on the field at the end of the season so he must be fine, but he wasn't. His accuracy was effected from injuring that hand and I think we saw how well Romo threw the ball last year injury free.Anyway, you could be right overall about Terell but I think if he's put into the right situation, he definately is back to being a top 20 WR with upside to be in the top 15. He will be signed...do you think Owens wants to go to OTA's and mini camps at this stage of his career? He will get signed in time for training camp...he does need to build rapport with his future QB.
Owens in one of the worst passing offense's last season was decent. Pair him up with a good QB...he is still a very solid WR for his age. And if in the right situation could easily serve as a very nice WR3 next season for FF purposes.

That's great, but that's no different than if I said T.O. would help the Raiders. It's a writer's opinion and not even speculation that there is anything cooking, so there is nothing to suggest Owens has even talked to the Raiders or if Oakland has any interest in bringing him in.
He's in a tough spot. The rebuilding teams that need WR help (Tamps Bay, St. Louis, etc.) likely don't want to take a chance on him, as they won't be competing this year and would rather develop a young WR, and that experiment didn't really pay off for the Bills last year. The competing teams that could use another WR (New England, San Diego, etc.) seem like a better fit in some ways if he's willing to come in at a lower salary in order to try to win a championship, but if they don't really need him badly, they have to wonder if the risk/reward is worth it, given how much of a distraction he could become.
I wonder if he'll be back in Buffalo or go to a team that falls between the elite teams and the really bad ones and wants to take the flyer.

Short list of teams that makes sense to me. It should be noted though that at this point I think it's safe to say that many owners, GMs, and Head Coaches are ultra leery of this guy. He burned a hole htru Philly and ticked off the owner, HC Andy Reid, those guys are very well respected around the NFL and there is no doubt IMHO that TO simply is black balled from some teams meaning no matter how desperate they are they simply will not sign Owens.

TO would be a major plus for them. They have a ton of young WRs who could all learn a couple things with TO around them. He played in the Bay area, likes it out in Cali, why not Oakland?
3. St Louis-They really have a hidgepodge group of WRs that are young, unproven, and cannot stay healthy. A rookie at QB, TO could help speed up the learning curve and probably make Bradford look decent as a rookie. Avery would go to the #2 with Laurnet Robinson hopefully healed and pushing for time at WR3. This offense would at least get an upgrade to average or slightly below average vs Poor where they're at right now.

I like the Carolina and Oakland calls. Those teams could be contenders this year. Not so wild about St. Louis. I'd rather keep him away from my young rookie qb and let Bradford work with the current group of wr's.

If it wasn't for McNabb, Washington makes by far the most sense to me.
This. Hurney and Fox are on one year deals and while people thought they were crazy to take two young QBs in the draft, I think they were crazy like a "fox"...pun intended. Only a fool would fire the GM and coach after they built for the future, but if they go 4-12, no one could blame said owner. Here is where they justify their planning for the future by securing the present. I don't care who the QB is, but with Smith/Owens at WR and Williams/Stewart at WR, those are arguably the top 5 offensive group of weapons in the NFL. Also, this team deals with adversity well...Smith beat the crap out of two teammates, yet TO (ironically) verbally threw two QBs under the bus and TO is the bad guy!?!?!? He could tell Moore he is a crappy QB and they would have the public believeing he said "scrappy". No harm bringing him in as Jarrett will wish he had the HOF career that Drew Carter did when it is all said and done, and gives LaFell a fighter's chance to develop.

Really good reasons for the Raiders to sign him. And with a veteran starter in Jason Campbell, he will be able to handle TO's ego. I think that TO is worth the asking price, about $4 million. If they can sign him, they should.
