I voted for the Vikes because it makes so much sense and I figure something in this whole fiasco has to make sense eventually... right?

How can there be no option for "good grief, not another Favre thread"! :kicksrock:
maybe someone needs to start a thread just for "favre thread complaining". the only thing as certain as a new favre thread when anything happens is that there will be people taking the time to come into the new favre thread to complain about it. the favre thread complainers obviously don't have the time to sift through the favre threads, so i'm not sure how they find the time to keep opening them up.such a thread would save the favre thread complainers from having to go into each new favre thread to complain. that's got to be annoying for them.

Oh come on Pollar, this is just a fun poll. ESPN announced Favre was in a meeting with Thompson over a possible trade. This is just a fun poll guessing whicg team it may be!

He's a legend. He deserves all the hype! And the way the oprganazation has treated him is baloney. But he asked for it himself retireing so it's a story for the ages and it will soon go away hopefully!

I've said this all along.Q: How does it make sense for GB to trade Favreto a heated division rival.A: It doesn't..

How does it make since Rodgers starts over Favre?

It doesn;t!

If Rodgers can only get 7-20 and 84 yards against the third team corners and second team D then what is gonna happen when he plays a real d.

Green Bay is going to be sorry and in for a long year!

And I agree with you Ron, they won;t trade him to Minny. He will force the release and sign with Minny! And make Green Bay pay twice! Maybe even 3 times bit I don;t think GB will be a playoff team with Rodgers.

Nah, what's annoying is trying to sift through the endless ramblings in any of the 715 Favre threads to try and get some actual intelligent conversation going or updates about things that are actually going on. To say nothing of trying to find an interesting topic on page one that doesn't involve Favre. But thanks for your concern. It's greatly appreciated. And by the by, technically, I wasn't complaining, but rather, simply pointing out that there was a valid option not included in this poll. :lmao:

Hey Silver and Black....... I thought maybe a poll would keep the non scense to a minimum. 2 minutes after I made it a Favre to TB speculation thread started. Kinda shifted the votes. lol I still say MINNY!

I just ignore the non scense threads. I pick my way THRU to the good threads.

This is a award winner poll based on the fact ESPN had announced he is with his family and Ted Thompson in a meeting over a potentional trade.

I do not think the trade being discussed is with the Vickings. I do think he will reject it, force his release! And sign with the Vickings for three reasons. 1. His competivness which I am just like him. 2. To get back at them because he's angry and 3. I've been thru this myself. OH Man did the team that released me PAY!

I don't quite understand all of the Favre love to be honest.

Granted he had a fine regular season last year to cap off a tremendous career, but at this point he is a total distraction, but that comes on the heels of two mediocre years in a row. Who's to say whether he regresses to the norm.

IMHO, he is acting like this is the first major decision he has ever had to make; poor Brett. If he was feeling pressured then he should have told Green Bay to wait until he was good and ready to decide. Coming back after they have moved on is a complete distraction in every regard. Fiscal, emotional, football-wise, everything.

I don't know if Rodgers is the answer for a Super Bowl in Green Bay anytime soon, but I am absolutely sure that Favre cannot lead them to a Super Bowl. He was completely out-played last year in the most crucial game of the season, at home in his own stadium. Aside from the one pass to Driver on their 4th drive he looked completely LOST during every series. He mentally broke down and was defeated before the game even started.

Finally, I don't believe that there isn't any ball club that will be able to absorb his salary unless he agrees simply to to play "just for fun".

I believe that he'll be back in Mississippi watching this season next to his lovely wife on the couch.

Okay, Brett wants to play but not in Green Bay

Green Bay will NOT trade him to Minnesota

Let's say GB trades him to Tampa Bay - I doubt they can get a clause that says TB cannot be traded back into their division

Does TB trade him to Minnesota, get a nice draft upgrade for being the middle man - if they can because there were a no-trade-to-Central - does TB trade him to someone else?

Why do you doubt there will be no clause to not trade him to Minny? Why does anyone think GB would go through all of this and then not protect against that happening?

Has this theory been brought up before?I think this is brilliant!!

Isn't there a rule where Favre would have to be on TB roster for at least 4 weeks before he could be moved again? If so, that pretty much screws that idea because by then, he wouldn't have time to absorb the offense....and please don't say he could walk right in and start tomorrow.

In the other thread someone stated ESPN News is reporting that Favre is headed back to Mississippi and that he is done.

I think it's likely either Favre starts in Minnesota or Garcia does because Favre has taken his job in Tampa. With that realization, I'd suggest to the Packers it is best to just go ahead and trade Favre within the division. Garcia might play longer and could be a better fit for the Vikings than Favre (I could see things going bad with Favre and everything blowing up).

The pack ain't seeing the playoffs for a long time. I think even if Favre goes to TB, the Vikes will roll the Packers both times they play this year. I hope that Ted Thompson loses his job for this. What kind of moron that went to the NFC Championship game last year wouldn't want Brett Favre back and instead back "his" unproven guy? This decision was obviously all EGO driven. QB's win Super Bowl's not suits.

The Bucs get him and Garcia is a Vike. Bear
Fixed.Unlike in Chicago, I think Minn really believes Jackson can be a good QB. I think they give him the shot this year if they don't land Favre. That being said, if Favre goes to Tampa, I think the Bears would be CRAZY not to go after Garcia.

Minny took an instant lead with 40%. Then when TB speculation thread started the votes instantly shifted. Which proved true. Now that the Jets news is out time for Jets to make a vote surge! lol
