So before McFadden there wasn't a best Razorback player to enter the NFL since Jones was an owner? That's my point. McFadden is poised to be the best Razorback player to enter the NFL since Jones was owner, by quite a bit.

In the end it probably won't matter. Dalls doesn't control it's destiny in getting McFadden. The odds are not in their favor either. Consider this about the Browns:2006- 4-12. 4 games lost by 7 or fewer points.2005- 6-10. 5 games lost by 7 or fewer points. You could argue that they are going to be better this year when you consider they upgraded their O-line and QB. You might even argue they upgraded their RB. But I can't imagine they won't be a better football team. Especially if they get Bentley back. That would be huge. And if they get Winslow too then they will be a better team. No way they finish in the bottom 2-3 teams. I would be surprised. And you have to think McFadden is gone by the 2nd, if not the first pick.Arkansas isn't a football factory, but were all 18 of those first day picks not worth drafting for Jerry Jones? It's ironic they have Ken Hamlin on their team now...Sorry, but I had to laugh. Your comment, IMHO, just solidified ConstruxBoy's argument. Jones has been owner of the Cowboys for 18 years, so that means that Arkansas has averaged 1 person selected in the first 3 rounds per year.I wasn't really caring about the actual 18, just that Clayton threw out 18 first day (not first round to be clear) picks like it was a lot. That is 1 first day pick per year of Jones' 18 year tenure. Heck, with only 3 picks out of @ 90 and positional needs, it is entirely possible that he might have liked those guys but didn't get good chances at them. It may show that Jones isn't an overzealous homer, but it sure doesn't contradict that he might be watching McFadden a bit more because of the Arkansas connection.
That's my point. McFadden is poised to be the best Razorback player to enter the NFL since Jones was owner, by quite a bit. Just because he hasn't drafted any of the lesser and smaller number of other Razorbacks, doesn't mean he won't place McFadden higher on his board because he helped restore the Razorbacks to national prominence.
You're assuming a certain level of sanity and self-control that I personally doubt that Jerruh has as the GM. I'd point out that Jerruh, like McFadden, is a Razorback. That can only add to McFadden's allure to Jerruh IMHO.Yes, Dallas is the odds on favorite right now with Cleveland's pick, and if neccessary, include their in a package. I'm just not sure that RB is their greatest need. WR probably will be next year.I like this early call. Dallas will certainly have the picks and owner to make such a move if need be.Dallas. They will either be drafting high enough with Cleveland's pick to get him outright or could package both picks to move up to get him.
I think you miss the premise, or my premise anyway. I'm thinking it would take both CLE and DAL #1 picks to move to the top of the draft to get him. I don't know that most people in this thread are saying CLE will be so bad that they'll be picking in the top 3. More that a pick around 10 and a pick around 30 is likely enough to move up to 2-3.In the end it probably won't matter. Dalls doesn't control it's destiny in getting McFadden. I'm pretty sure you know what I'm saying and trying to use silly grammar isn't going to make your argument hold any water.
I don't understand the backlash about this car. He's a kid, just like you were in your early twenties and is entitled to spend whatever money he makes on whatever he wants. For those who say it looks stupid, if he can pick girls up with it just on recognition that its his car, its totally worth it. Its like driving an ice-cream truck around campus and having the entire campus know its yours. I bet even some of you hags could nail some prime tail with that.
and who will? Mike Hart, Slaton? No wayI don't think McFadden will even be the first RB taken off the board![]()
I'd say Johnathan Stewart is a better natural runner and a better fit at RB for most conventional rushing schemes, but McFadden certainly is the best RB prospect this year. That said, I wouldn't be surprised that, years from now, either Slaton or Stewart is having a better pro career. Dark horse being James Davis.and who will? Mike Hart, Slaton? Huh. The blind squirrel (Me) picked up a nut.Other teams that could be possibilities based on need/potential draft position:
Houston
Oakland
Tennessee
Green Bay
Atlanta
Dark horse - New York Giants. There's potential for all the wheels to fall off the wagon for this squad.

Mentioning 20% of the league certainly helped your chances.Huh. The blind squirrel (Me) picked up a nut.Other teams that could be possibilities based on need/potential draft position:

:spittake:Does this awesome RB remind anybody of the powerful Earl Campbell? I'd like a good "you tube" visual of this guy.

But Atlanta, Houston, and Tennessee did all target RBs in the offseason as well. Would be interesting to see what Atlanta would have done had they not gotten Turner.lol @ "teams who won't have a high enough pick to take him" ...some were bad- but at least none were bad enough (high enough) to be in a position to take McFadden! Not sure why they included Jets in that category, but I have a feeling this OP might have Thomas Jones in two dynasties.Who won't sicne they won't have a high enough pick: San Diego, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Chicago, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Denver
Who won't since they won't have a pick: San Francisco, Cleveland
Who may not because of their current RBs: New York Jets, Kansas City, Minnesota, Buffalo, Saint Louis, Washington
*Wildcards: New England, Dallas (both will have two 1st round picks in the upcoming draft)
That leaves (in order of who would be most likey have the opportunity and take him):
Detroit
Houston
Oakland
Green Bay
Tampa Bay
Atlanta
Arizona
New York Giants
Miami
Carolina
Tennessee
Jacksonville
....If I had to put money down, I'd bet one of the top 5

I take this statement back.:spittake:Does this awesome RB remind anybody of the powerful Earl Campbell? I'd like a good "you tube" visual of this guy.
I've changed my mind about DMac. I'm a J. Stewart fan now, thanks to M=S.
