Sleeper isn't DEVY friendly. You can't add custom players and that is a must for DEVY players. Also, others have said that Sleeper isn't very good with complex rules, but I cannot attest to that.In my book, it's Sleeper by a mile. Maybe 2 miles.
It's just cleaner than the others and more intuitive.
I'm biased but it also features live draft synch with our Draft Dominator tool which for me invaluable.
2nd would be MyFantasyLeague if you had wild or unusual scoring as it's the most flexible. And also Live Synchs with the Draft Dominator.

One would think they could add custom players. From a programmer's perspective, the programming behind that cannot be all that difficult. Maybe two weeks development tops. By doing this they could bring in the DEVY business. I wonder if anyone has ever brought this up to them?Sleeper isn't DEVY friendly. You can't add custom players and that is a must for DEVY players. Yes, if you have super complex rules, MFL is likely best. But the interface is light years away from Sleeper.

Oh I know MFL well. It’s all I use. I do think the DEVY market is growing however. Perhaps Sleeper will grow with it. I remember when PPR wasn’t popular. Or more lineup flexibility. Remember that?Yes. They're aware. One would think they could add custom players. From a programmer's perspective, the programming behind that cannot be all that difficult. The DEVY market is so tiny, my guess is they are focusing on features that have more appeal to more users.
But MFL should take care of what you need there. Good luck.
Even though I only use MFL for football and CBS Sports for dynasty baseball, I like learning about other hosting sites. What is it that is horrendous about Sleeper? I know the worst thing about MFL is their mobile app.Sleeper is horrendous imo.
MFL all the way.
also love the scoring systems you can implement. I do a tiered PPR, for example catches 0-9 yrds .25pts, 10-19 .50pts, 20-30 .75pts etc.....and the 2 wins each week; head to head and one for top half of scoring.....I would also say the Sleeper app for mobile is fantastic. It was built with mobile in mind first. If you use your phone a lot for managing, it's outstanding.
For redraft the easy answer is Sleeper. It's an almost idiot proof app when all you need to do is draft and set your lineup.
MFL is the best for a league with any type of complexity. The amount of customization doesn't exist anywhere else. The entire interface needs an update, especially when an app like Sleeper is out there looking all shiny. No one should ever use the MFL mobile app. It simply shouldn't exist. Site works fine if you turn on desktop mode on your mobile browser.
The other legacy sites are just that - legacy. They stick around because people don't want to change up what they've been doing for twenty plus years. But have any of these 20 year yahoo guys try Sleeper and that's all they'll use.
Fantrax is the best combo of both. Lots of flexibility for more complex leagues and while no Sleeper the interface is far better the MFL.Sleeper isn't DEVY friendly. Oh, it’s close alright. I’m reading their negative ink here as well, such as horrendous. To be fair I asked @Blue Wave why he thinks that, but he hasn’t responded. I wish people would say why they don’t like a hosting site. Some have. I said I use MFL, but their mobile app sucks.Sleeper and it's not even close

imo MFL would own the space if they just put a bit of effort into updating the 1995 interface.
THANK YOU!I recognize that I'm the old man yelling at the clouds, but Sleeper is waaaaaaay to busy for my liking.
Being too busy is what killed Rotoworld. That along with nothing but sports gambling ads all over the place and no meaningful fantasy information. Something which is how they made their bones.THANK YOU!I recognize that I'm the old man yelling at the clouds, but Sleeper is waaaaaaay to busy for my liking.

I used RTS many years ago in a couple of leagues I commish, then changed to MFL because of cost I believe. I seemed to remember RTS fondly as a commissioner. What is the cost of RTS these days?I use RTS and we like it. It’s an IDP league with head to head and weekly points W/L. It’s also an auction. I have zero complaints about the site as a commissioner, it’s pretty great actually. However, the yearly price tag is getting pretty high at 129.99 with the early bird 10% discount. It’s getting to be too much and we are planning on moving to different site next season. I didn’t really like Sleeper last year in the FBG contest, so I am trying to figure something out. Any thoughts on ESPN, that’s what one of league mate is pinning for.
Great thread BTW
Been looking forward to that for over twenty years now palMFL for dynasty and looking forward to their 2026 interface changes.

I would say sleeper as well, with MFL a close second. The problem is I think Sleeper is getting better and MFL has been going downhill for awhile.
Promises, promises. I will believe it when I see it.Fantrax is the best combo of both. exactly. And god forbid you’re a more “straight forward” dynasty league and just want a simple setup…every single year as commish it took me multiple tries to get simple FABB waivers set up similar to yahoo’s standard “runs on Tuesday nights, and then every dropped player is on waivers for 2 days”. Stuff that yahoo and now Sleeper just do out of the box.MFL FABB experience is the worst user experience of any platform I have used. It was clear implemented by engineers and not UX folks.
Yep the calendar entries and waiver setup is confusing as crap at MFL. And I’ve used it for 20 something years.exactly. I’ll never go back to MFL since none of my leagues are complex at all.
Agreed. I hate itMFL FABB experience is the worst user experience of any platform I have used. It was clear implemented by engineers and not UX folks.
Not the case in my yahoo leaguesBut I agree they’ve fallen behind a little, for example I think they removed the Message Board feature a few seasons ago
We have the gold package, so not sure about that. It was almost 190 Canadian $ for us. Plus the majority of my league mates are all doing the boycott thing(as am I). What was your beef with Sleeper? I've never used it, but would like to know why some hate it.MFL for me. I couldn’t stand Sleeper.
