White Sox 2011 Baseball (1 Viewer)

OK so now we have a "second" Cub fan here spraying around rumors of Sox moves. NICE! No wonder you and the Limp Dude are like kissing cousins. You two share pink squirrels at the Man Hole before games at the "friendly" confines?
huh? It's not my fault that you can't look up your own info.
Well if I looked up every "rumor" on the net, radio and at the office water cooler I would be chasing my tail all day. Let's just wait and see what happens.
did you even click on the link?here it is.....so you don't even have to click(sorry I can't read it to you)

The Score 670 Chicago reports that the White Sox are close to acquiring John Lannan from the Nationals.

It's unknown just who the Chicago would be sending over in the deal, but this is Jim Bowden we're dealing with, so anything is possible. Josh Fields would make some sense. Lannan is under control through 2013, and he can keep the ball on the ground, which would make him a nice fit in Chicago.
See the bolded part? That is not rumor, it was reported by the station you get most of your baseball knowledge from.

Ohh I clicked on it but until it is a reality I am not buying into it unless it is a done deal. They were talking about how the Sox were going after a guy from the A's to bolster the bull pen last week. Look at how the Score went ballistic over the Roberts trade with the Cubs at the start of the season. They have to fill up 19 hours with talk and some of that talk is a lot of hot air.

John Lannan, SP Washington on his way.I love this move.
Are you sure? After all- word on the block is you USED to be a Cub fan?
You read that in the other thread like it's new news. Are you really this stupid?
Well genius how can it be old news to me if it was the first time I saw it? THEREFORE it must be "new news" to me. Right? All I can say is that it all makes sense now. What a fraud u R!
Seriously? After all of the midwest baseball crap you threw out there last year, when the Sox fell out of it, you're going to call me a fraud? I don't see one peep about how the other midwest baseball teams are doing out of you this year. There's no reason to ask why, we all know the wind is just blowing in the right direction.
Not buying that cop out. You dumped the Cubs to be a Sox fan? Answer that question! Cut to the chase because it looks like Mr. Martie really exposed to me who you are. If the Sox are out of the race that does not stop me from watching playoff baseball and if I cheer for anyone other than the Yankees or Red Sox to win it all in the playoffs that has nothing to do with being a traitor.
I haven't denied it, have I? Do the research yourself and find the story. I'm not rehashing it again.

Well at least you are honest

rotoworld.....

According to Nationals writer Bill Ladson, Washington is discussing Joel Hanrahan, not John Lannan, with the White Sox.That makes a lot more sense. The White Sox would prefer a reliever anyway, and Lannan is someone the Nationals look at as a building block. Hanrahan won't come cheap, either, but he is a more realistic target. Love Ozzie letting Danks start the 7th here despite being at 90something pitches.

Regardless of the outcome, this kid needs to keep learning how to go deep into games.

Still trying to wrap my head around how the Twins are so good. Looks like smoke and mirrors on a stat sheet and then you watch them and realize they are a very solid squad.

I've been wondering and saying the same thing for 7 or 8 years now.
I have no idea. Every year I expect them to suck, and every year they are in contention. I just wish at some point they would go ahead and make a big trade.

The Twins have a solid organization. I think it is safe to say that the Sox pitchers had better just pitch around Morneau at the Roller Dome.

Teams are 7-7 head to head this year.

The Sox are 6-2 vs Twins at home

The Sox are 1-5 in that #### hole

We have 3 games left in that #### hole

Perhaps there can be one year that we can play the Twins at home in late September instead of in that #### hole

Regardless- we gotta move on and focus on KC. The Sox can still have a decent road trip with a sweep.

The errors are too much. It is sad and what happened to the pitching? You just knew it was coming with Dotel.

Twins are all about pitching/farm system/basicsIf the young pitching staff can make it to 7 Innings, Nathan, can close the doorFarm system is really loaded with young talent, they got a closer in the minors who could start for a lot of teams, and a position guy who's batting almost 400, Twins don't give up their young talent.Twins are a very well schooled team in the basics fielding, small ball etc, we don't score many runs, but we make the count.I sometimes wish the Twins were more like the Tigers, made the big trades take chances.Oh well no matter what happens this year, it's been a fun one for Twin fans with a team that was picked to finish last. Looking forward to the late season finish with the WS in our Baggie DOME!

 Griffey delivers in his first at bat.

Paying dividends already.
2-3 with 2 RBI and a Run scored.Who the hell knows what happens here? The guy hasn't played a meaningful game in over 5 years. Maybe playing for something will spark him.
He looked good in all 4 at bats :fishing: Drove one ball very deep, I thought it was gone. 2 hits.... and took a walk.

I'll take it, although I'd rather they move him up to the 5th spot and drop Thome to 6th or 7th.

gotta feel good after the twins series. *not picking fights, being serious.
Lots to feel pretty good aboutGriffey looked goodJavy pitched somewhat betterKept the 1/2 game lead with Minny winning again tonight. Not all is good though. Twins finally wising up and getting Liriano back into the rotation. They're still not at full strenght with Cuddyer on the DL, but close to returning. Plus they still have to play 3 games in the baggie.

this has gotta be scary, i honestly believe the twins would be 2-3 games up if they brought him up 6 starts ago. guy is that good.

Probably. Livan was 2-4 in his last 6 starts. That record could easily be flipped with Liriano in that slot.

You have to give the Twins credit, they didn't rush Lirano back, gave him time to get his game in place, time will tell if this was a good decision, but 1/2 game back is not a big deal. The make or break for the Twins will be how Ruiz peforms, he was hitting 320 with 17HR's in the minors, if this kid can bring it to the bigs, it should be an interesting race to the end.

liriano sucks

Liriano dominated for Rochester, going 10-0 with a 2.67 ERA in his last 11 starts. Yet the Twins stuck with Hernández and youngsters Glen Perkins, Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn and Kevin Slowey in a rotation that had them a half-game behind the White Sox in the AL Central heading into last night.
sheesh....dude is good

What the hell happening to the pitching staff over the last month? :coffee:

The offense is there but there seems to always be a bad start or a bullpen impolsion. Also, are Linebrink and Contreras coming back ever?
