Whizzing in the backyard? (1 Viewer)

Pretty normal thing to do?

We have a privacy fence in the backyard, not to mention neighbors that are never outside anyways. Behind us is a creek/trees.


It is environmentally sound, one of the reasons of a major fishkill recently in San Fransisco is because they could not process enough of the nitrogen from the waste. Not to mention the fact that it saves 1.x gallons a flush.

I think i am an environmental hero with this movement, but i can't be the only one here?

I do it, especially when we have the fire pit going but I wouldn’t say it’s often.

I do it, but after it is dark and the wife is in bed. I could go in the guest bathroom, but it is easier to go outside while I am having a smoke.

Yeah, all the time. As a matter of fact, that's how I taught my first born how to pee without a diaper when he was 3. Worked awesome til the time the mothers day out teacher called and said we need to tell our son he can't drop his trousers at the playground to go to the bathroom.

Used to more often in my late 20s/early 30s. I also had a pretty concealed area to do it. We've since changed the layout, tore out a deck, etc. so it's not something I would consider today.

A couple times I've come home at night and had to go so urgently I decided it was best to take care of business outside. Otherwise, no.

I find it to be one of life's simple pleasures. I'll pee off my deck at night at least once a week. And I love standing up in my kayak and peeing overboard, though as I get older, my weakening stream may start causing me to rethink the process.

Luckily I didn't add that special chemical that turns color when you pee. Just don't tell my kids I didn't add that.

Not really. I guess if you peed in the exact same spot every time, it would eventually make a spot in the grass, but it's not hard to switch it up. What small animals does it attract?

Years back, me and another coach were packing up the gear after baseball practice when my son (maybe 7 or 8 at the time) told us he needed to go to the bathroom. Everyone else had left and the porta-potties were a long walk away, so the other coach told him to just go behind the dugout. A minute later, we hear my son yell, "what am I supposed to do for toilet paper? " Oops...

If my dog is out with me, he'll pee on top of my spot. I need to start holding a little back to top him off.

I honestly miss the ability to do this. I was dead serious that I built an outdoor urinal. In colorado they build the houses so close to each other if somebody was peeing outside I could hear it.

In Wisconsin i had so much privacy in the summer I could pee wherever I wanted. In the winter time is when I needed the urinal. Just gave that last bit of privacy. Also gave me a place to mount the hand sanitizer. I am not an animal after all.

What were the logistics on this? Was it attached to the house or garage? Free standing? I'm fascinated by it although it seems like cheating a little.
