Nobody. I think your stat has to be faulty. 94% of 70+ catches went for 1st downs? Nah. No way.
These were the first two names that came to my mind, if i had to pick, it would be Bess.Davone Bess or Danny Amendola?
It did seem unrealistic, but im given the benefit of the doubt to the OP.

Just to give you an idea about needing a high YPC:Mike Wallace had a tremendous YPC (higher than the answer) and only caught 80% for 1st downs.DeSean Jackson had an even higher higher YPC than Wallace and only caught 70% for 1st downs.Similarly, Gates had ~15.6 YPC (very very good, but not THAT high) and had 84% for 1st down.Not saying the guy didn't have a high YPC, but having one doesn't mean a lot went for 1st downs. And his 94% for 1st downs is simply ridiculous, IMO.

Aha! I have successfully cheated and learned that Gian's stat is indeed faulty! It was a mere 93.5% 1st down rate, not 94% as he states!

I dont know why my first thought would be a possession receiver. How would a guy who is catching for 9 YPC have a higher first down rate than a guy who is catching for 17 YPC. I quickly figiured that out and started guessing players with high YPC, but you beat me to Lloyd.

Have at it. It's already been posted. FWIW, I did not even see that ESPN article if that's the one you're referencing. Was just checking out stats at nfl.com and came across that.
I wasnt saying it was 100%, just that a guy with a better YPC was more likely to have a higher first down % than a guy with a low YPC.
