9) Vince Young - why will this guy not have a good fantasy year?

12) Brent Celek - many still don't believe he's an elite TE
Young had a chance to be great after he brokwe out and crushed owners hopes with crap play. celek was great with donovan. TE are products of their system unless their HOF like gates, sharpe etc.
Did you watch the Eagles last year? Because Celek's best games last year came with Kolb at quarterback.
Not just that, but if TE's are products of the system, what does it matter who the QB is?

Guys that are really slipping that I like:

Hightowner, he has flat out played better then Wells so far, he went undrafted in my 10 team league, and late in my 12 team. Plus Wells had a fumble in the last game, which could become an issue.

Camarillo WR Vikings--going undrafted. This WR has great hands, Favre hooked up with him 4 times in their first game together, and with Harvin's status, this kid could be a great pick in PPR leagues. I think he play slot receiver for the Vikes.

Mike Williams TB, undrafted in my 10 team, late in my 12 team. I don't like rookie WR's but he looks special.

J. Jones Hou, 14th round in my 12 team league, looks like he might be the starter on a high powered passing team.

Celeks just a dude. interchangeable with any other white guy his size.
What does race have anything to do with him as a TE? Im offended by this.
Apparently... any 6'4" 250 pound white guy can catch close to 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns as an NFL tight end.
As a white american male, I find his remarks offensive. We see the same bias when there is a white WR in the NFL. You are either Ed McCaffery or Wes Welker. Why can't Jordan Shipley be Jordan Shipley or Greg Camarillo be Greg Camarillo?

That Green Bay TE (what's his name again) seems to be slipping a bit as of late...he lasted until the mid fourth in a recent draft...MID FOURTH STEAL

Mexican-American, pal...find yourself another token (Austin Collie?) white WR.Anyway, point taken...I only mention the correction re: Camarillo because his heritage is matter of pride with him. His dad was something of a pioneer back in the 60s, becoming what was then a rarity: a Hispanic professor at Stanford.

Knowshon Moreno dropped really far in the last draft I did (redraft). I think he lasted until pick 55 or so.
He dropped really far in mine as well. Some other guys that fell too far IMO:Addai 4.07Moreno 5.09J. Stewart 6.07Nicks 6.11Portis 7.02R. Bush 7.05M. Bush 7.07McFadden 9.11Maclin 9.12M. Ryan 10.11Stafford 11.02Massaquoi 14.02Hester 14.08Gresham 16.12

It's only 2010, you're going to need to wait a few more years until you have the right to be offended.

Sidney rice just went undrafted. Most the league makes playoffs, all I really am focused on is week 14-16. He worth a spot for those weeks?
Absoulutely. He probably comes back Week 8 or 9, so he has a few weeks to work out the rust and get into better playing shape. He could really help a fantasy team down the stretch. MIN schedule during weeks 14-16 is a little tough (NYG, CHI, at PHI), but if your league goes to Week 17, then having DET would make a great matchup for Rice.
I couldn't agree more. I took Sidney in the 11th round this year, and will stash him for the stretch playoff run. He should be good to go by Week 9. Until then, I'll just make do with Roddy White and DeSean Jackson. :sadbanana:

The Manning that never gets any respect, Eli Manning. Kid threw for 4000 yards and 27 TDs, and has a solid WR corps and a good TE in Kevin Boss. Bradshaw will move the chains, but Eli should match last years' totals.
Here's the problem though. Even with those numbers he was what, QB11 last year? That puts you at the bottom of your FF league in QB production if you only start one QB, even after injuries (meaning he was even worse than that in ppg). And that was a career year for the guy in a season that a team that normally loves to run the ball had lots of injuries at running back and on defense.Does anyone really foresee Eli throwing for 4500 yards and 35+ TDs next year? Because for a guy that doesn't run, that's what it's going to take to crack the top QB spots nowadays. I think the likelihood that Eli regresses to his mean is MUCH MUCH MUCH higher than the likelihood that Eli puts up a season like that.People look like Eli as some hidden gem that people are overlooking, but it's the Eli supporters that are overlooking stuff. The whole basis for the argument is that he threw for 4000/27 last year. This isn't 5 years ago where that meant you were a top 3 QB. 4000/27 is the new 3200/21. Half the league is throwing for it.Eli provides a guy who will kind of keep pace if you're waiting late to get a quarterback, which is ok if your strategy is to wait super late to start looking for QBs. Let's get over this idea that he's some magical hidden top 5 player at his position though, because QB11 is the best he's ever finished, even last year.
In my 12-team performance league, Eli was QB8 in 2009 as far as rankings go. BTW, less than 1/3 of the leagues' QB passed for more than 4000 yards. To put into perspective value wise, Romo (3rd round selection in 2009) scored 400 points, while Eli (who I took as my 2nd QB in the 12th round) scored 371 points. That's a differential of 29 points, or basically 1.8 pts/game. So which one provided more value? Not the guy inTexas.

Also, people drafted ahead of Steven Jackson (STL) at pick 3.7 -1. Antonio Gates2. Dallas Clark3. Marques Colston4. Michael CrabtreeI know the Rams suck, but SJ is as safe a RB#2 as you can find.
What? Why didn't you draft him at 2.WhatEverYourPickWasInTheSecondRound or even worse your 3.WTF?Tell me you were not in this league.

Meh ...he will always be "Camarillo brillo" to me

She had that

Camarillo brillo

Flamin out along her head,

I mean her mendocino bean-o

By where some bugs had made it red

She ruled the toads

Of the short forest

And every newt in idaho

And every cricket who had chorused

By the bush in buffalo

She said she was

A magic mama

And she could throw a mean tarot

And carried on without a comma

That she was someone I should know

She had a snake for a pet

And an amulet

And she was breeding a dwarf

But she wasn't done yet

She had gray-green skin

A doll with a pin

I told her she was awright

But I couldnt come in

(I couldnt come in right then...)

And so she wandered

Trough the door-way

Just like a shadow from the tomb

She said her stereo was four-way

An I'd just love it in her room

Well, I was born

To have adventure

So I just followed up the steps

Right past her fuming incense stencher

To where she hung her castanets

She stripped away

Her ranchid poncho

An laid out naked by the door

We did it till we were un-concho

An it was useless any more

I am terrible dealing with these when they have too many replies ...

Last night I grabbed Addai in the 7th, Bradshaw in the 8th, Santonio in the 13th and B. Jacobs in the 14th. I also saw another guy take Reggie Bush in the 13th.

I thought I'd bump this back to the top to revisit some of the predicted late-round gems that were taken.

Appears that if you got Eli Manning, Ahmad Bradshaw, Tampa's Mike Williams, or Darren McFadden late, you struck gold in them thar hills.
