Who gets more tackles for the Rams this year? (1 Viewer)

Is this purely a guessing game or can we be certain there will be a substantial difference in the final numbers?

And in the secondary - does anyone think James Butler will get more tackles than Oshiomoghoghohgoghogogghogogh Atogwe?

I think Laurinaitis gets about 10-20% more tackles than Witherspoon.

But, Will should get more "big plays" (sacks, interceptions, pass defenses).

My thinking is that St. Louis has two solid DE (if Long makes the expected improvement) and has two unproven tackles (I do like Clifton Ryan however). Other teams will run up the middle on the Rams testing their DT's and the rookie MLB. Both Laurinaitis and Witherspoon should be 3 down LB, and both are solid in coverage, so no matter the style of offense they both will have lots of opportunities.

i'm thinking that although atogwe might be a good choice as well and i tried to get him in a few leagues, that butler might really be a sleeper pick too as he will being playing in the box and was hand chosen to come to st. louis and given starter money and is familiar with the system. liking butler alot right now.

I can agree with this. I think Witherspoon gets alot more sacks. I could see double digits

i see the complete opposite. u generally want your DT to ty up blockers either by design or that they be so disruptive that Offensive Lines need to put more bodies on them to shield the MLB and let them clean up. i like little animal but he doesn't have the necessary athleticism or pop to go around or stand up/shed OL in his face. Spoon coming from the weakside will see less bodies and has always been a pretty good athete and pretty much a natural fit for the WLB. Spoon can play MLB and was the rams best option for a few years, but obviously the Rams sought an upgrade in the middle to help their Run D woes. not so sure that James will or will always be a 3down LB'er as Chris Draft is pretty good in coverage as well. Witherspoon getting double digit sacks is a bit of a stretch. he has had 7in a year a few years ago but other than that his high is 3. i'd stick with 7sacks bing his ceiling

Witherspoon's more of a play maker and Little Animal should get bottled up by blockers with some frequency. Someone in the secondary's going to benefit, I'm betting on Atogwe. Little Animal should put up good numbers and the most tackles among the LB's but he shouldn't be a difference maker on your team.
