I think the answer to this is still "undecided." At this point, it's clear that Cutler has outperformed Leinart in the NFL. But Cutler's nothing special. He's got a great arm, but appears to have a so-so head for the game -- I put Cutler somewhere in the middle 1/3 of NFL QBs. I think he throws too many interceptions and makes occasional bonehead plays, ala Jake Plummer. As for Leinart, he's pretty much stunk in the NFL (maybe one good game) -- but he hasn't played much. Maybe this season behind Warner has allowed him to mature and get a better handle for the NFL. Maybe not. Point is, we don't know how Leinart will play until he has a chance to start. That's why I'm still undecided.

I dont think so.Denver D is bad, nearly historically bad. Getting throttled by Oakland and Buffalo late in the season at home. Sometime no matter how good a QB is he cannot over come a putrid D, I mean Shanny got fired over it. The O is Fine, Cutler is better.Leinart might have all the talent in the world, but we'll never know because he doesnt have the heart or work ethic to even get on the field, his coaches have no faith in himLeinart had his chance to start, he blew it. No way a coach puts an immature headcase in there unless forced to by upper management

so we'll have to wait until they retire I guess. Leinart has miles to go before he can get to the level that Cutler is at currently let alone surpass him. If you think Cutler is prone to mistakes you haven't seen Leinart play (albeit in preseason).BTW..Leinart was the starter coming into the season and quickly played himself out in the preseason with a few beyond awful performances.

   You must not of watched Cutler this year. HE was the man. If he had any support from the Defence Denver would of been in the playoffs. You say that he throws to many INT's, well when you have T Bell as your 6 or 7th RB you are going to have to force plays. Without Cutler, Denver would of finished in last place.I think Leinart has a chance to be a good QB...(not in Arz though), but Cutler such a better player than Leinart.

Denver was 12th in overall rushing yards and 2nd in yards/attempt. That's pretty darn good. I don't see why Cutler would have to force plays because of a poor running game.

Well, one problem is that Denver abandoned the run very early and very often, seemingly for series at a time. So, at times, he had to press by trying to make things happen through the air when the opposing defense was 90% sure they were throwing. Second, because the Denver defense was horrendous, he also felt he had to make more plays. Either situation would make a QB feel tremendous pressure and try to force a lot of throws, but having both situations on a week to week basis had to make Jay feel like the weight of the entire team was on his shoulders. So, I think both the lack of creativity in the play calling and the terribleness of the Denver D led to a lot of the mistakes Jay made.

This isn't even close. Cutler is the obvious choice.

I don't even understand how this warrants a poll OR discussion.

What's next? Peyton Manning/Ryan Leaf?

Well, to be fair, the answer to Peyton vs. Leaf is technically undecided. We really need to look back in a few years to get a sense of their skills. Maybe Ryan will someday get an NFL starting gig, right? He really hasn't been given a fair shot at being a starting QB yet, right? Right? :X

:boxing:
'tis only a flesh wound

Leinart has the superior talent, ability and upside IMHO and I would like to take this opportunity to prove most of the Shark Pool "sharks" wrong by taking an extremely unpopular stance.
LHUCKS:What do you think a well-run NFL team would give Arizona for Leinart this off-season? Do you think it's a scenery problem?Maybe Cleveland and Arizona swap Quinn and Leinart that way these two worldbeaters can have a fresh start.

Nice bump, this is a remarkable and very telling poll.To answer your question, Leinart just needs game experience IMHO...he's started less games than Flacco. To be successful I think he needs to be in a passing offense because that's the strength of his game IMHO. AZ, IMHO, is a pretty good fit.
