JU gives Cedric Benson and Adrian Peterson (chi) , and Benard Berrian for Jamal Lewis, Musa Smith, Javon Walker, and a 2008 #1 draft pick. This trade took place last year.

Benson, Cedric CHI RB;Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR; Year 2008 Round 5 Draft Pick

for

Bush, Reggie NOS RB;Jenkins, Michael ATL WR; Year 2008 Round 2 Draft Pick

FWIW, Bush and Fitz are within a point of each other, Benson's outscoring Jenkins by 2 ppw.

The 2nd will yield a player like Kenny Irons, the 5th Garrett Wolfe.

Overall, I didn't do all that well, but I really like Bush.

I traded Benson/Matt Schaub for Jamal Lewis/Aaron Schobel/3rd round 2008 pick. Lewis had just missed a game with an injury and Schaub hadn't gotten hurt yet. I mainly wanted Schobel as my D-line was sucking it up and was pretty set at QB with Palmer and Cutler. I also had a ton of depth at RB at the time and he just needed someone that was starting.

Then LJ and Peterson got hurt. I'm considering starting Jamal this week.

With the current Bears running game, and the performance of Benson this year, I'm curious as to how many owners are waiting out the storm or moving Benson to move on. Good god man, lighten up. I happen to think that owners are very interested in what other owners are getting for Benson at this time. It is a very important time for Benson owners with regards to roster decision making.

i had Kolby Smith at the time before knowledge of Holmes' retirement

so wish i'd have waited maybe, especially when rudi is fine in 08, but was getting sick and tired of Rudi in 07 so the dice were rolled

Yes, both are in the top 5 of the 2nd round, one of them top 2.I don't think Benson is worthless value wise since there are still some suckers that hold out hope for him, but i'd try to get the most i could for him now, his value is likely to go down before up. He just isn't that good as far as NFL RB's are concerned.
