James Laurinaitas - they are on the field a lot and he is everywhere. I rank him just below Willis for the foreseeable future.

I did pick him up this week... however, I'm still not 100% sure about it. If he puts up another 7-10 tackle game this week then I would be inclined to agree.1 Game Fluke2 Games Interest3 Games Pickup4 Games Stud that's how I see it for IDP for a relatively non-thought in most IDP formats preseason.

If your league rewards heavy points for big plays, i.e. sacks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries etc.

This would be true if he didn't have what seems like a ridiculously tight score keeper in regards to giving out tackles/assisted tackles (for Rams home games)

This is exactly why he will never be top 5, for his 8 home games, he may get 8 to 10 assists for the year. Now if your league doesn't count assists he may be top 5.

It's terrible. Laurinaitis has 8 total assists in 18 career home games. Angerer had 9 last game at home. lol

I play in a tackle heavy league, but for me this year I don't see anything keeping Lee from being #1 this year. My number 2 is Dqwell.

There is no "the guy" to own for me.

I'm waiting one more week to do a formal review of the tiers, but the elite tier will probably include Willis, Timmons, Lee, Jackson and the like.

I think Sean Lee tackled me in the kitchen this morning, forced me to fumble my coffee, and then recovered it without spilling a drop as he returned it all the way back to the coffee pot.

This kid is seemingly everywhere on every play. You would not think it can possibly sustain but sometimes guys have that kind of season.

Willis is always my favorite for steady stud status and Mayo is always capable of exploding (just get the idea that on one of these weeks, Bill will concoct a sheme he puts in where Mayo becomes a sack artist).

But I would not mind having sean Lee at all this year.

The scoring system in my league is 1pt per solo,0.5 per assists, 3 for a sack/int/ff/fr, 1 for a tfl, 1.5 for a pd, 4 for a safety, 10 for a defensive td, and 1 pt per 25 int/fumble return yards. Fractional points are awarded.

The top 5 are:

1.Sean Lee 48.54

2.D'Qwell Jackson 45.50

3.Ray Lewis 41.66

4.Terrell Suggs 40.50

5.Pat Angerer 40.40

The "tackle for loss" stat was a bit misleading. At 1st I thought it would be credited like the "Stuff" stat but players are getting a tfl point for sacks as well. This makes pass rushers a bit more valuable due to the fact that 1 sack would be a 5 pt play (solo + sack + tfl).

Sack is worth 10 points should bump Jackson. (still gotta figure Timmons) fwiw I also like Spoon and Foster

IF looking at just tackle numbers, Lee seems to be poised to not disappoint (but that D may be in flux imo)

The Dynasty part is what makes me think Foster, But yeah Urlacher and Ray both still making big plays (So listen to the experts!)
