Yes.Nfl Network?
I live in Detroit AreaI believe it is on Comcast if you have the HD package, but I called WOW this morning and all NLFNET only games will not be shown. BLOWSMore importantly, what cable systems are allowed to show the game even though they carry NFL network? For the last 2 years no cable system in metro detroit (that i know of) is allowed to broadcast the games on NFL network. Just a black screen.Maybe I'm behind the times on this issue so an update would be appreciated from anybody in the know.
Yes comcast moved it to the "sports package". I believe it's $5 a month. You should be able to get it if you have comcast.I live in Detroit AreaI believe it is on Comcast if you have the HD package, but I called WOW this morning and all NLFNET only games will not be shown. Yeah i ditched comcast last year since they wanted to charge extra for Big10 network. So now i have WOW and don't get NFL network games. I hate this. Sounds like cable co. propaganda. I've had DirecTV for 10 years and have never experienced any delay whatsoever changing channels. If you don't mind the steep price, the Sunday Ticket with the Superfan package will change your life. When my home team is not currently playing, the Red Zone HD channel cannot be beat. No commercials, no punts, just all the big plays and red zone possesions. I don't watch highlight shows anymore because I've seen most if not all of the plays live or within seconds of when they happen. I could never go back to cable.Yeah i ditched comcast last year since they wanted to charge extra for Big10 network. So now i have WOW and don't get NFL network games. I hate this. DirecTV's contract ONLY allows them to show the Sunday games. Even if a Sunday game gets postponed to Monday, they are then not allowed to show that game.DIRECTV shows em all unless they are blacked out.WOW sucks cant get pistons games or NFLN games. Horrible
If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for that?Letum said:Sounds like cable co. propaganda. Way too much! I think it's like $300Totally not worth it unless you don't live where your favorite team plays, my old roommate had it and you pay all that money yet most of the games are on at the same time, it doesn't make much sense to me unless all you watch is that red zone channell and that wouldn't make much sense to me either. That being said it obviously has to be worth it to some people because there are enough people buying it that they can keep charging a ridiculous amount of money for it.If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for that?Letum said:Sounds like cable co. propaganda. Yikes. Yeah I'll keep my head buried in NFL.com's Game Center for that price.Way too much! worth every penny IMO especially in HD, and you can haggle that price down.Yikes. Yeah I'll keep my head buried in NFL.com's Game Center for that price.Way too much! Like I said before it's just a matter of how you want to spend your money and what you like to watch, for me it's not worth it because I always want to watch the entire Vikings game and I occasionaly go to games and to sports bars to watch games with friends if I spent that money I'd almost feel obligated to stay at home every Sunday. Yes I've invested in a nice TV (a couple actually) and I pay quite a bit for cable with all the HD DVR and movie crap but to me it just seems a little out of hand to me to charge $300, on top of that they could probably increase their sales by quite a bit if they lowered the price and that includes converting cable subscribers over to Direct TV. That being said if I was as hard core about football as I am about hockey I'd spend the $300 but I'm just glad I can get the center ice package with between 3 and 15 games on pretty much EVERY single night for half the price. What does going to a game cost (time, gas, parking, food, beverages)? How about taking your family as well? I agree that $300 is alot of money - but if you've invested in a nice TV, shouldn't you be willing to pay a little extra to get the best programming? It will also keep you out of the sports bar (and away from $4 beers and $8 hamburgers) when the game you want to see isn't showing at your house.Computers are great, but c'mon - watching live football, especially the Red Zone channel, versus "(2nd and 10) J. Cutler passes left to E.Royal for 6 yards....(wait 35 seconds)....(3rd and 4) J. Cutler passes middle incomplete....(wait 35 seconds).... (4th and 4) B. Kern punt 42 yards (no return)....(wait 2 minutues)...."No comparison. Worth the money IMO.
NFL.com LIVELooks like they will be streaming several NFLN only games this year.I just looked on NFL.com and they have a streaming video link to watch online.
if that's the same as what they did in the preseason, i don't think they show everything. it was more like show a drive, then go to the studio for a drive, then show a drive, etc.then again, that was preseason, maybe this will be exactly what they are broadcasting.NFL.com LIVELooks like they will be streaming several NFLN only games this year.I just looked on NFL.com and they have a streaming video link to watch online.![]()
