Who is seen as the biggest vulture this year? (1 Viewer)

With Bettis now sitting at the square table...who do you think will lead the league in TD's vultured this year?

> TJ Duckett - 11, 8, and 8 TD's over the last 3 years.

> Brandon Jacobs - 7 TD's his rookie year.

> Marion Barber - 5 TD's last year....4 in the red zone.

> Greg Jones - Has averaged 3.5 TD's over the last two years.

> Verron Haynes - 3 TD's last year.

> Ryan Moats - 3 TD's last year.

> Ladell Betts - Dark horse.

I'd say Brandon Jacobs. Some of those guys got their reps/TDs in because of injuries (Moats, Barber). It appears from early reports and looks that Willie Parker and Westbrook might get the goalline looks, at least in the preseason to see how they hold up. Duckett is always a threat, but the Falcons seem to have lost their love for him. Betts isn't a major threat to Portis' TDs.

Marion Barber should increase his feeding this year to around 6 TDs.

Lendale White, Allstot?

has to be Haynes or Greg Jones IMO.

Haynes might beat out FWP at some point this season.

Mike Alstott should probably be on this list.
Agreed...Alstott should be on the list. After back back 2 TD seasons in 03 and 04...he bounced back with 7 TD's last year...one of which was receiving.
Wrong. Alstott isn't the goal-line back this year, Cadillac is.People realizing this is why Caddy's beginning to creep up the draft lists, and Alstott is undrafted.

I really hope to give you major props on this, MLB, as it would help my team big time.

I will pick a dark horse.

Ciatrick Fason.

I'm not sure Chester or Mewelde will prove to be good goal line backs.

How about Corey Dillon? Assuming Maroney takes the starting job, Dillon will almost surely see the goaline work.

Somebody will vulture in Pitts. Either Staley or Vernon or maybe they trade for a Duckett. Willie will not be useful in goalline stuff. Or it will be the Heath Miller and Hines Ward show. :)

Maybe...but...Alstott got his chances last year and was pretty successful. I'm not sure why Gruden would look to fix what doesn't appear to be broken. Why slam Caddy up in there when you don't have to?

I've been seeing Staley and Jacobs around in late rounds of drafts and think one or both of them offer great value there.

Daunte Culpepper..Ronnie Brown owners will be dissapointed when Daunte scrambles for 6TD's this year
Cpep's scrambling days are probably over . . . at least to the extend that he will vulture several TDs . . .
The occasional busted play fire alarm.
:goodposting: I don't see Miami risking their new prized QB acquisition, recovering from a torn up knee, on too many goal line attempts. They don't need to take that risk when they have a good power back in Brown.

:goodposting:  Ive locked him up in a couple of redraft leagues. Why no mention of Mike Sellers. The guy is a train and has really impressed Saunders by flattening defenders. Whats to say he wont vulture in around 5 TD's. IIRC, last season he had 7. Even if he's considered a TE.

I think whoever pinned Lendale White has it right on. 420 yards / 7 TDS for White this year.

Next vulture would be Deuce McCallister. Reggie is going to run that ship by game 4, but they will still use McCallister around the goal line.

i'd say white but i'm not sure the titans will be scoring to many td's

i like Barber here...

Betts is a dark horse and would absolutley kill everyone who is drafting Portis top-5 right now
