New Stadium. Is it supposed to be in Dallas' new stadium, or still in Texas Stadium?
It would be in Lucas Oil Stadium, scheduled to be open for the 2008 season. Also: is Indy bidding with a new stadium in the works? I thought the Hoosier Dome had too small of a seating capacity for a Super Bowl.
It will be awhile, but doesn't seem unlikely given the recent talk about playing more games outside the states. The NFL seems intent on globalizing the sport. I'm not sure its a good idea- it is an American sport, like baseball, so the championship should stay here- at least until (and if) the league expands outside the country.Hopefully Glendale, AZ, but probably Dallas, TX if they have their new stadium by then.I wonder if ther will ever be a Super Bowl held outside the US, say, London, England, or Berlin, Germany.
Agreed. Jerry Jones wins this one.I think Dallas gets this one, but Indy will get one soon.
Based on everything I've read, Indy has a much better shot than Glendale. Dallas is favored.Indianapolis [ 6 ] [18.18%] Arizona (Glendale) [ 7 ] [21.21%]
Jerry also has a lot of fellow owners that he is close with, Bob Kraft of the Patriots for one.I say Indy. Do not under estimate the hate for Jerry Jones from some of the other owners.
I thought AZ was supposed to get a SB for building a new stadium? All three should get it but AZ's stadium is already finished.Based on everything I've read, Indy has a much better shot than Glendale. Dallas is favored.Indianapolis [ 6 ] [18.18%] Arizona (Glendale) [ 7 ] [21.21%]
They are a longshot because:1. Glendale is hosting the next Super Bowl, and2. The 2011 Super Bowl is slated to go to a "northern" city - Indy and Dallas are "northern" cities by their definition.I thought AZ was supposed to get a SB for building a new stadium? I can't imagine that happening. The SB is an event put together for the NFL corporate partners, licensees, and other big wigs. I doubt anyone would want to go outside the US over options like Miami, AZ, and Tampa...especially these days.I wonder if ther will ever be a Super Bowl held outside the US, say, London, England, or Berlin, Germany.

1. "Northern" is about winter weather. 2. I can't find the link, so for now ignore my 2nd point. But, point #1 (Arizona is already hosting the next Super Bowl) is the main point, anyway. I'll stand by what I've read that Arizona is a distant 3rd in this race. They are a longshot because:1. 2. The 2011 Super Bowl is slated to go to a "northern" city - Indy and Dallas are "northern" cities by their definition. What definition is this? Phoenix is actually farther north than Dallas.
Miami won SB 44 while prepping for SB 41.But, point #1 (Arizona is already hosting the next Super Bowl) is the main point, anyway. I'll stand by what I've read that Arizona is a distant 3rd in this race.
That sucks!Dallas gets the Super Bowl in 2011 - watching press conference now![]()
No surprise here! But Indy will probably get 2012 or 2013, IMODallas gets the Super Bowl in 2011 - watching press conference now![]()
Seats over 100,000!!That's gigantic for the NFL...I'm surprised their taking that big of a leap.
