The Browns are not like other teams they run whether ahead by 20 or down by 20 they still run the ball!Crowell did look good last week but people need to to temper their expectations a bit. IF Tate goes down Crowell will be big but Tate is healthy right now and is clearly the starter. The Browns just lost a key part of their OL and Crowell had 2 fumbles last week and lost one. Crowell also won't be used at all on passing downs. The Browns simply are not good enough to find themselves playing ahead on a consistent basis allowing them to run as much as they did last week.
This week against JAX Crowell might produce decent numbers again but after that I wouldn't expect much unless Tate gets hurt again.
This. The Browns are not like other teams they run whether ahead by 20 or down by 20 they still run the ball!
Everyone has their own opinion but that's a terrible strategy. Would you rather have Crowell or Spiller right now in redraft. I'll take Crowell every time. I always shoot for a RB flex or two, but the last RB spot or two should always be high ceiling guys like Crowell, McKinnon, etc. until things go right for them (usually later in the year when the make great trade bait or allow you to trade current starters for playoff push). I don't know what qualifies for deep bench, but most of my leagues allow at least 6.Not a fan off holding on to other Owner's handcuffs. I know that Tate has injury history, but you gotta have a pretty deep bench to be waiting on injuries to make your players relevant.
Crowell if I own Tate, Spiller if I own Jackson. The season is too short to stash players hoping for injuries bubble them to the top. I have to think that there are better pickings on the waiver wire than holding on to someone else's insurance policy. I would rather have someone on the bench that you feel may get their shot due to performance of the player ahead of them on the depth chart. Injuries are too fluky to "wish" for.This.The Browns are not like other teams they run whether ahead by 20 or down by 20 they still run the ball!

Yeah, I get your point. I just couldn't disagree more. The season is too short to stash players? Never at RB. Crowell, Knile Davis, whoever Denver rolls out there, Asiata/McKinnon, Blue, Williams and Forsett want to say hi.The season is too short to stash players hoping for injuries bubble them to the top. I see guys draft other owners 'cuffs all the time. They hold them, try to trade them to the owner that has the starter, and after 4-5 weeks they drop them for a bye week replacement... wasted draft pick, which shifts the power downstream. Let the owners of those players throw away picks on handcuffs.
I like this response. With Crowell, I'm willing to take a longer outlook on because of Tate. Even if Tate is healthy, I could see Crowell having RB3/Flex value. But I would also rather have Crowell on my bench than guys like Rainey, Spiller, Ivory and Steven Jackson. I don't think I'm alone in that feeling that Crowell is going to hit...it is just a matter of when with only Tate in front of him. And with that situation, that is one of the best situations a talented RB could step into.Back to the OP, anybody that you feel you won't be using come playoff time when Crowell is in a timeshare with Tate at worst (RB3/flex) or if Tate's out (low end RB1/high end RB2). Ball, Sproles, Ivory, Spiller, McFadden, SJax, Rainey, Helu etc.
think it was 1 actual fumble, which is when they hooked him for tateRegarding Crowell... rumor has it he fumbled thrice last week? Usually not conducive to more playing time.

drop Tate for CrowellI'm a Tate owner with Sankey, Stacy, Mathews and Ingram on my bench. Drop Stacy or Sankey for Crowell?
I would drop Hyde for Crowell. I drafted Hyde and he is now on the waiver wire with Crowell.Thinking about dropping Carlos Hyde this week. I'd say they have similar situations but I need bye week help and that tips the scale slightly towards Isaiah.
He's a rookie. Assuming his skillset will be static over the course of the year is a bad idea. There was a blurb this week that actually addressed how he was doing better than West in pass protection. That wasn't the case earlier this year.Crowell did look good last week but people need to to temper their expectations a bit. IF Tate goes down Crowell will be big but Tate is healthy right now and is clearly the starter. The Browns just lost a key part of their OL and Crowell had 2 fumbles last week and lost one. Dude, that's just nonsense. They want every player on the roster giving 100%. And they want the best guy starting.why are people so convinced west is completely out of the picture? he had some bad practices last week and he doesnt play special teams so he was inactive, smart money says he plays against jax and will splits touchs with crowell and may even get more carries than crowell, they have been trying to motivate west since the preseason to overthrow tate. besides this is tates job, he and kyle shanahan go back to their texans days, tate knows this offense inside-and-out. holding onto a handcuff like crowell and hoping the number 1 guy gets hurt is no way to win fantasy leagues, crowell should be owned but only by tate owners. youre better off holding alfred blue than crowell since both tate and foster have injury history but blue would have the job all to himself while crowell would 50-50 split (or less) with west if tate did go down again. this crowell hype makes no sense, he wont be the #1 anytime soon and will how violent he runs there is just as much a chance crowell gets hurt as anyone else lacing up their cleats on sunday.
Yeah, I dropped Hyde this week. Splitting carries with Gore and they don't seem to run much on the road, plus some difficult matchups out there will make him difficult to trust. Would rather take a chance on Crowell at this point given the schedule and what we've seen from him thus far.I would drop Hyde for Crowell.
