Did the cat and dog.......ah, forget it.No, it's my 6th year with 3 championships. Is this your 1st year of fantasy football?
Seriously dude...I want to say Johnson although he's a little older. I like Edwards' age much more but his knee injury and QB situation is shaky. Who do you guys think and why?
Dude, you're an amateur just admit it. I'll take an invite as well to any league where you "allegedly" won a championship. Age is irrelevant with these two cats. No, it's my 6th year with 3 championships. Is this your 1st year of fantasy football?
If Edwards has a "boatload" of talent then AJ has a "Cruise ship" of talent. Does not matter what team they play on. AJ>>>>>>>Edwardsin his defense, Edwards does have a BOATLOAD of talent...that being said, he plays on the Browns. AJ wins in a landslide. Put Edwards on another team, and i don't think this would be a crazy question.

I'm looking at 61 rec, 884 yards, 6 tds, 24 years old VS average of 82 rec, 1000 yards, 5 tds, 26 years old.Where there is a difference between those numbers it's not a huge gap when it comes to the differences between their fantasy points. So no, I don't think this is a horrible question. I do believe that Johnson is a safer choice because he is more proven but still hasn't made any big leap in the NFL for production whereas Braylon is young and might be able to do it sooner in his career than Johnson. Besides, "dumb" question or not I wouldn't expect a sarcastic response. I assumed we were all adults here participating on this board because we enjoy the hobby of fantasy football but it gets ruined with people like you. By the way, you may consider me to be an amateur but in my defense you don't win 3 of the 6 years you've been in the league and making it to at least the second round of the playoffs every year out of luck...and yes, age does make a difference when this is concerning a dynasty league. Perhaps you should look that term up because you're apparently unfamiliar with it, amateur.Dude, you're an amateur just admit it. I'll take an invite as well to any league where you "allegedly" won a championship. Thank you.Wow, some pretty strong opinions here. I think the question is VERY legit.Johnson and Edwards have a very similar talent level IMO - both very high. As for situation, I can't believe people are slamming Edwards because of Cleveland, and then conveniently forget that Houston is ALSO a terrible team and now has a QB that has never been a regualr starter in the NFL.If not for the knee injury, which is probably only now truly in Edwards' rearview mirror, this would be a very different conversation. And I expect at the end of this season we may be looking at a different conversation as well.Oh, and by the way - being as smug as some of you are on an internet forum just makes you look like an idiot. We are ALL amateurs here, get over yourself.

Not even close to being that in shark leagues. AJ is a top 10 wr in dynasty leagues that are worth anything.-OZ- said:moose162 said:Holy Schneikes said:Wow, some pretty strong opinions here. I think the question is VERY legit.

Although, even as a Michigan fan, I'd take AJ over Braylon. It just isn't THAT far apart. AJ right now is top 15ish, Braylon top 20. Give Braylon another year from the injury, and this will be closer than many like to think.

Then why even ask. See above posts for answer.ffguru56 said:No, it's my 6th year with 3 championships.DenverBroncos said:Is this your 1st year of fantasy football?
I think that was the exception, not the rule with Braylon. Braylon is an outstanding person who gives so much back to the community. He has made the largest donations to UM by a former athlete in the schools history and also organizes multiple celebrity charity events to raise money to send inner city students to college. He has organized can drives to help the Cleveland Foodbank. He has helped purchase football helmets for poor inner city schools. I can assure you, he is not the self-absorbed TO-esque WR. As for the OP: As of right now, AJ has more value but Braylon has just as much upside IMO. This year will be big for Braylon (fully healthy, 3rd year WR) and he has a chance to pass AJ. With AJ, I expect another good but unspectacular year: 89 receptions 1080 yards and 6 TDsAndre 5000... Partially because I didn't like what I saw from Edwards when he was getting in his Quarterback's face that one time.
That's exactly my thought on both of their scenarios. Thanks for the input. Not to avert the topic at hand but I was notified the other team won't trade A. Johnson but is willing to trade Braylon so now the question comes to me if I should trade Julius for Braylon. Take a peek and let me know.As for the OP: As of right now, AJ has more value but Braylon has just as much upside IMO. I'd much rather have Edwards as my WR3 than Johnson as my WR1.FWIW, my last dynasty draft was back in March. This league is an IDP/PPR league with 12 teams. Most of the guys in the league are from this board. AJ was taken as my WR1. Braylon was taken quite a few rounds later as my WR3. Driver was my second WR. If Schaub is as good as some feel and Green improves the running game, AJ should reach uber-stud status.

Not really. According to AntSports, AJ is the 11th WR off the board and Bralyon is 25th. Let's see in a 12 team league, I one could look at it as, present average draft positions, so A. Johnson is the next to last WR1 and Braylon who is the top WR3 meaning that both WRs are being drafted nearly as often as WR2 as they are being drafted as the other spots. A conclusion that they are both WR2 is not unreasonable. Not really. According to AntSports, AJ is the 11th WR off the board and Bralyon is 25th. Don't get razzed into a bickering match. While I agree with the consensus that AJ has more value right now, you pose an intrigueing comparison between 2 very talented players who's values are almost guaranteed to fluctuate drastically once their respective situations stablize. And for those who putting out the "I've always loved AJ" vibe, (I like him too), go ahead and do a search for almost every thread involving AJ before last season. The 'crowd' had him pegged as an inconsistant dud on a bad team who would never reach his ceiling. Things change pretty darn fast around here.ffguru56 said:I'm looking at 61 rec, 884 yards, 6 tds, 24 years old VS average of 82 rec, 1000 yards, 5 tds, 26 years old.Where there is a difference between those numbers it's not a huge gap when it comes to the differences between their fantasy points. Who doesn't care about ADP? Its nice to know where on average players are being taken so as to not go after them too early or wait too long. The point was many people are drafting AJ with the expectation of him being there #1 WR and Braylon will be available to many as a 3rd WR. So to say they are both #2 WRs as if they are currently being valued similarly is off IMO.Who cares about ADP???????????????????Not really.
