At first I was thinking Felix Jones, hands down but I've listened to 3 interviews with Fisher and he's basically saying that they will re-do their playbook to get the ball in his hands. Lendale White isn't a PPR monster or is he a true stud back. From listening to the interviews, it looks like the Dinger(OC) hand picked him. Fisher kept saying that he was more than a 3rd down back...maybe this is to light a fire under Fatdale though. He gave a scenario where Lendale and Chris in the same backfield together whether defenses would be forced to play them in their nickle or if they didn't...they have a huge advantage with Chris coming out of the backfiled. He says he sees 10-15 touches for him a game. They seemed to compare him to Westbrook...Do I have homer glasses on too tight

I would say MB would have to be the better starter between him and Lendale

I would say that the Titans are a more conservative offense...more rb touches???

I would say that Chris could arguably be considered the most explosive player on the Titans offense now...

I would say that Felix is the 3rd best offensive weapon behind MB, TO, and Witten

I think Johnson will be on the field A TON, split out on passing downs and in the backfield on anything 3rd and 3 or longer.

I went with jones:

1) I don't think the titans know what the hell they're doing at rb

2) I see the titans having to pass downfield in order to win

3) Johnson is talented but at 195 lbs he won't see alot of playing time because he won't be able to take many hits. I'm no fan of chris henry but at least he's a speed back with some bulk

I got to say Johnson here. I don't think Arkansas used Jones as a pass catcher much. Tennessee will split Chris Johnson out and spread the field. He should catch a lot of passes. For those who remember Ramonce Taylor when VY was at Texas, this is the role I see Johnson in.

i don't see felix taking much of anything away from MB except on 3rd downs.

johnson has a better chance to overtake the incumbent starter. defenses can afford to stack the box in an effort to force VY to beat them. i see VY in a lot of shotgun formations which allow draws, swing passes and dump offs for a guy like johnson to thrive.

Johnson for me and it's not very close. Chris has the ability to split out wide and be a main focal point of the passing game, whereas Felix is more of a prototypical 3rd down back. If you really want to put in into a situational (not talent) perspective think of CJ as Reggie Bush and Felix Jones as MJD without the touchdowns IMO.

<---- Titans Fan (well maybe gonna change teams after two straight draft debacles)

and i still think Felix Jones by a large margin

I would lean to Johnson here, but not by much. I just don't think there will be enough touches to go around for Jones. Johnson is hands down the best weapon that the Titans have (next to VY). Jones has to compete with TO, MB, Witten, Glenn and to a lesser extent Crayton for touches.

If VY has to go downfield to win...We won't be winning alot.I don't know if they know what they are doing at rb, but the opportunity will be there. Fatdale needs a breather after 3 carries most of the time. Johnson doesn't need 20 carries to be effective fantasy wise. I could easily see 4-6 catches a game and 7-10 carries

I went with Johnson for this reason alone - Who the hell are the Titans gonna pass the ball to? Dallas has TO, Witten and Crayton. Who does Tennessee have? Alge Crumpler?

I think Johnson is going to be an exciting player to watch, but in TEN he's got more than just LenDale stealing carries.

On the other hand, in DAL, MB3 just had his biggest season with 204 carries, the previous two he was in the 130's. DAL for the last three years has split carries pretty consistently. I don't see any reasonable reason to think they won't continue that trend, and the fact they took Jones with Mendenhall (almost by consensus rated higher) still available tells you how highly they think of Felix.

I would say without a doubt that Jones will see more carries and touches than Johnson.

Voted Johnson simply because it seems Dal has already convinced themselves no matter what that Jones will never be more than a situational player.

I think they took Jones over Mendenhall because Jones is more of a speed back and will be a change of pace guy opposite Barber, but Mendenhall doesn't provide that. I think Johnson is the better option.

I think you're referring to this comment:
Jones, who carried the ball more than 20 times in a game once in his college career, has no chance to be the featured back in any offense.

"Both of them were so close you could flip a coin over them," Jerry Jones said. "One of them could be a full-time 25-carry back. We don't see Felix that way. Barber allowed us to have the luxury to draft Felix."

"We did not look at our decision to get a running back as a backup decision," Jerry said. "We looked at the position as though we needed two backs to do the job at running back. We don't view that as getting a backup."
I'm not sure if he was talking to avoid causing issues in Barber's negotiations, or whether he meant that. I don't think Felix is a 25-carry back, but heck, there are very very few of those in the NFL.The Cowboys drafted Choice, so if things go sour with Barber, they can run Felix 15-20 times and Choice can take the heavy hitting downs.

I really think Johnson will line up as a WR part of the time, this guy has simply awesome speed and some great open field moves. They will find ways to get him the ball ala Reggie Bush. In a ppr league I like Johnson.

I read/heard he actually played some WR anyway. Dude ran probably the fastest 40 time ever at the Combine. Has a great build for a WR, 5'10ish and around 200 pounds. Is supposed to be an excellent receiver.

Fastest on Field Turf. Bo and Deion ran sub-4.2. They turned out alright. I traded for the 1.04 a few weeks back, expecting to take R.Rice over F.Jones and C.Johnson. I'm now targeting C.Johnson and hoping for Rice @ the 1.07.

I agree, I see Johnson as a poor man's Reggie Bush rather than your traditional feature back. I expect White to resume his role backing up Bush at USC.Although expected, I'm really disappointed by Felix Jones' situation. He'll get to play but with the Cowboys also taking Choice I think Jones will be regulated to a Kevin Faulk role.
