Today's Milw. Journal
FF owners are always trying to get on the Packer scoring wagon. Will Starks be the man? Which WR is going to step up now that Jennings is out? Does Seine hold any value?
I have always contended that ARod is the only sure thing (and yes, Jordy is having a fine year - but will he next or will he come back to the past three years and be the same as Driver/Jones (and soon to be Cobb?). And Jennings and JFin should have good scoring. But they never seem to score as much as they could, considering how high scoring the Packers offense is.
Great article today which lays out the facts....
There are the numbers that tell the tale of the Green Bay Packers' 2011 season:
35.8 points per game.
13-0.
And 19.
As in, 19 Packers who have scored a touchdown this season - Randall Cobb, Tom Crabtree, Donald Driver, Jermichael Finley, Matt Flynn, Ryan Grant, Greg Jennings, James Jones, John Kuhn, Clay Matthews, Jordy Nelson, Charlie Peprah, B.J. Raji, Aaron Rodgers, James Starks, Ryan Taylor, Erik Walden, Tramon Williams and Charles Woodson.
Takeaway from all of this?
So long as ARod is the QB, expect to be disappointed with drafting another skill position. While this year Jordy has done exceptionally well, I think he is not likely to obtain the same highs next year and as a result will be drafted too high, on average. And why picking any Gbay RB high outside of some rare circumstances is a fools game also.
