Why don't we discuss Aaron Hernandez here? (1 Viewer)

AH caught a TD in SB46 and made a great tip on the Hail Mary that just eluded Gronk that could have won the game. He was very close to being part of their SB lore.

Honestly, I'm glad that game didn't go their way. Having that POS be a SB hero takes away all satisfaction of the win itself. Now he can go rot in prison as the nobody he deserves to be.

As I've said before: I'm sick that I ever rooted for this guy.

If he's already getting life in prison without the possibility of parole is there much point to the next murder trial? Maybe he'll accept a plea deal where he gets a room with a window or something.

Well the murder charge is already being appealed (automatic in MA) so try him on the other case in the off chance he wins appeal.

If they convict him of that murder also, chances of winning two appeals would not be good.

Well that sentencing was quick. Life without parole.
Murder 1 in Massachusetts carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole. Murder 2 was the option if the jury wanted to give him the chance to get out on parole in 15 years. In either case, the penalty was predetermined.

Think about how much money could have been saved if the police had just shot Hernandez instead of arresting him. Plus, he might kill a dude in prison - who are thinking about future victims?

I hope the Pats can find another tight end of his caliber.
I'm sure they will be gunning for another one in the draft.
If one's available, they will pull the trigger.
After winning the lombardi I just dont think they have the ammunition to trade up in the draft.
Belichick is always trading back and acquiring picks, I think they'll have the bullets to pull something off.

This isn't even fun.

He may be known for not going in to the draft half cocked and finding success taking shots in the dark but in todays political climate it just doesnt seem relevant.
